I have to ask, anyone watched the special "Forever Young: A Grammy Salute to Rod Stewart Live"? He was one of my most cherished singers back then and in fact attended a concert in '86 (26+ costume changes) while pregnant with middle daughter who is now truly designing woman... This special is pretty awesome. Thanks for reading.

Hello everyone. I am an author and writing instructor, and I am curious if anyone out there has ever dreamed of writing/publishing a book. If so, what's the big dream? Become a best-selling author? Publish your book for family and friends? Start a second career as a writer?  Then the next big question, what's stopping your from accomplishing that dream?

There’s something about music and cars - a match made in Heaven. As a teen cruising in my ride (a ’72 VW Beetle), back before digital media and streaming, I’d be listen to tunes mostly on the radio, beholden to the DJs and what they’d play. Rotating through my preset stations, usually WCCC, “The Rock”, WHCN, “The River” famous for album oriented rock, rock blocks, and double shots, and WPLR out of New Haven, I’d search for the best song in the moment. And now and then, I’d stumble upon a song that would instantly inspire a spontaneous right hand to the volume knob, spinning it clockwise to crank up the volume. While i usually enjoy most of the articles in AARP, "One Day Home Fixes" was a little disingenuous and could actually be dangerous for some people if they took the advice.Jonathan and Drew may be experts in their line of work but to make suggestions based on their parents' situation and apply it to the general population is unwise at best.They would have been better off consulting with a Certified Aging in Place ( CAPS ) specialist, or an Occupational Therapist experienced in home modification. 

     Most folks I know give out Halloween candy that they like, in hopes of having leftovers!  I know I do!As a kid I loved Smarties, Snickers and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. I like giving out full bars, because you see and hear the joy from the kids. It’s once a year, and fun.  The neighborhood I’m in is near a school, so getting almost 200 Trick-orTreaters is common here!  I like getting the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups at Sam’s Club, since they have the larger quantities.  Any favorite candies?

At 72 years old, I want one last experience with a band I love... I can't go solo due to mobility issues. I've asked my daughters (who experienced 1-Oct 2017) and their partners and my friend and hopefully will get the tickets the minute they go on sale. What say you, AARP Friends? Good choice? Advise, helpful tips?
