I just washed my car, I am trying to dry it. [Speeder tells cop]

 My favorite if I can remember to tell it right ......

  A state trooper turned his lights on and started chasing a speeder after he took of speeding right in front of him.  This went on for a while until he finally pulled over. The officer said "Why did you take off speeding like that?" The guy says "Sorry, my wife ran off with a state trooper and I was afraid he was bringing her back."
