Really object to the ads appearing on AARP emails!!!The FL Senior Drivers ad is, in my opinion, SCAM!

Dear AARP,Two years ago you published candidate interviews that greatly misled readers. Candidates will say what they think voters want to hear. I believe you are partially responsible for the election of the worst and most divisive president of all time. Now you are doing the same thing with the John James interview. Instead, why don't you publish voting records and facts, like...As a Congressman, James voted for HR1 that gave the largest benefits to the wealthy and will cut hundreds of thousands from the Medicaid Health Care and SNAP benefits they need to survive. How about...James repeatedly voted against reining in Trump's war with Iran and did not enforce the Constitution that says such wars must be decided by Congress. How about that? SOCIAL SECURITY — benefits weren't cut, but finances were affected.H.R. 1 did not reduce scheduled Social Security benefit payments. There is also a less-publicized consequence: the Social Security Administration's actuaries report that H.R. 1 reduces

Good Afternoon!  i just heard about the new Maryland FAMLI tax that will start on January 1, 2027 but the program doesn’t start until January 1, 2028.  How did this get approved?  we don’t need another tax that I will never use!  My company already has an FMLA program but I am about 4 - 5 years away from retirement.  So, like Social Security being threatened to be cut at the time i retire (after i have paid soo much into it!), now I am losing more of my precious paycheck for another program that i can’t use.  Can someone explain what this tax is really for and is there a way to stop it?  Thanks!

The Demon of UnawarenessWhile I was waiting to have my bi-weekly blood drawn at the diagnostic lab, I saw for the first time two framed photographic copies of Oahu mountain ridges on the wall to my left.  One of these renditions was realistic; the other one was surrealistic. Regardless of how I related to them, what struck me the most was that I had never noticed the landscapes until today. What a revelation! Most of the time, I pride myself on how much I enjoy art in all of its incarnations, whether it be displayed in a museum or a flea market. From now on, I will prod myself to be more observant of my environment. Who knows what  ah-ah moments that I might appreciate, if not revel in. Despite the horror of it all, I envy Linda Blair’s uncanny ability to simultaneously have grisly 360 degree perspectives at the end of The Exorcist. Or, to be less graphic, you can’t be a fly on the wall unless you can see the wall.

I recently spent three hours completing the driver safety course and I’m unable to download my certificate because AARP claims they have no record of my drivers license number. How. Do I get my certificate so I can report completion to my insurance company?

Since the day I learned that my Medigap Plan G premiums were going up 35% in 2027, I’ve been obsessing about Plan G vs. HD-G and running “the numbers” for best case vs. worse cases scenarios. Somethings been nagging me: While I love obsessing about insurance and wouldn’t mind the paperwork associated with the HD-G, my dear wife has absolutely no interest or patience in tracking provider visits, charges, Medicaid allowable charges, deductibles, etc.  Meanwhile I am eligible for a zero-premium large group Medicare Advantage plan from my former employer, the State of North Carolina. And if I added my wife (with a premium of $68) and predeceased her, she could continue at the spousal rate forever - worry free. What a gift that would be. (Ever heard “Don’t let better be the enemy of good?” Reports I’ve gotten from former colleagues suggest that our group plan may be better than individual M.A. plans available to the general public. I would love to hear about your experience.

Cubis 2 is an underwater-themed match game where you slide cubes along a 3D board.   What is the goal of the game? The goal of the game is to use all the tools at your disposable – regular cubes as well as special cubes, plus a healthy dose of strategy – to match enough cubes to hit your goal before the timer runs out.   When do I beat a level? If you’ve reached your goal before the timer runs out, you beat the level and can move onto the next one.   Where do I see my goal and the timer? On the left side of the screen, while playing, you’ll see a timer. Next to it is a number. Every time you match cubes, that many cubes will be removed from the number. Get the number to 0 before the timer runs out to beat the level!   How do I play? To play Cubis 2, you will need to launch cubes onto the board. You can launch them from two of the four sides of the board. Move your mouse, if you’re using one, to the row or column you’d like to launch from, and you’ll see that row or c

Our AARP United Health supplemental insurance premium has increased 44% since June of 2024.  That is crazy.  Are you doing anything to lobby congress about the cost of health insurance??????

For the last couple of days, the Outspell game won't load.

Well, mine use to be my Dell Laptop when I retired in 2020.When I had to bury it (Motherboard was fried), I just DIDNOT want to spend the $$$ to either repair or replace it.Ended up getting an iPad for the 1st time in my life & HATE IT. When it "dies" I will be relying ONLY on my Android cell phone.I log into my iPad ONCE A MONTH to "update" whatever is telling me it needs to be updated. 🙄 So far NO "drama" with these UPDATES like I did over the years with Microsoft. That is what probably fried my laptop's motherboard in about 2021. Whatever Windows UPDATE was "due" around that time NEVER LOADED. Spent HOURS trying. Nope, too old to be "stressing" out over them. If I need a computer or laptop for whatever reason (so far have not thank g.d), I can go use the library's for free. SO GRATEFUL I can now PRINT FROM MY CELL PHONE = no need to touch their NASTY KEYBOARDS. Even with using "wipes" still felt full of germs. 🤮Thanks,Nicole (Technology Forum)

[Wednesday 9/23/26 1:25pm ET]📸[*** 2 Screenshots Attached]Just tried to complete the quiz listed below.(1) It was NOT "set up" as a quiz & had NO red circle. It is a VERY LONG list of what AARP has to offer.(2) QUIZ NAME - Test your AARP Rewards knowledge. It is a MONTHLY earn activity.

A “Processing” progress dialogue is blocking my credit card’s OTP verification window and I couldn’t input the OTP I got from my text when attempting to purchase a gift card. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix to this?I tried using Chrome on PC, Chrome on Mac, and the AARP iphone app. All displayed the same issue.

My husband and I have found ourselves just a few years from retirement and realizing our adult children are not yet financially independent and struggling in today's economy. Can any of you relate to this? The hardest part is having the conversations related to finances and the potential impact these could have on our relationships. We know we have to take responsibility for our own retirement future, but want to be able to support them in achieving their own financial success and happiness. Really want to connect with people who are sharing a similar life experience and navigating this challenging circumstance.

I hope we all sleep well tonight and wake up with comfort in our hearts. I live in Wisconsin and enjoy the outdoors with my pups. I hope we all find something that we can enjoy - Even though we are grieving.  Hugs to you all! cecilia

I purchased a Petsmart gift card at a reduced price yesterday.  I received the email with the egift within approximately 15 minutes of purchase, however, I can’t access the gift card.  When I click the email to get the card details it redirects to blinksky.com.  I’ve never seen this before and tried to obtain the gift card number but this link just keeps “thinking” and states “digital card activation pending” and “transaction in review, please wait”I made the purchase at 8:30pm on 09/20/2026 and still haven’t been able to access the gift card. 😡

[Tuesday 9/22/26 5:50am ET]Curious if anyone has any TIPS to share!!! 🤔My daughter used the "online" sites when she got "laid off" in 2024. She now pays attention to things like making sure she UPDATES herself. In my "very humble" opinion, this is VERY IMPORTANT in today's Job Market.Me at age 68, seek out Consulting Gigs geared to SOLVING any "issues" a LOCAL organization maybe experiencing. I find work by "knocking" on doors. Lol, just DONOT have it in me to do the "online" routine. This way I CONTROL my "retirement". Yes, retired at age 62 when COVID reared it's ugly head at the place I worked for years. Hated retiring EARLY, but between me being the "only" one showing up for work & NO work "safeguards" to PROTECT me from the public (clients) - it was time to go. Laid low for a "few" years, got bored & finally felt SAFE to mingle AGAIN.Stop by to share & read what other members have to say. Thanks,Nicole 💼  (Jobs Forum)

It seems to be totally random so the only tip I can give is just to play it everyday. I have hit it 3 times doing that plus I have also hit the weekly prize once.

i was being overbilled by $10.00 per month. Customer service stated that “only the prepay or the AARP discount can be applied, not both…”From Tracfone’s web site (emphasis mine):“$10/mo discount on Tracfone Home Internet available to active AARP members with valid membership verification. Discount applies to one Tracfone account per AARP membership; multiple Home Internet lines within the same account are eligible. Discount not available at Target and cannot be combined with Target pricing, but may be combined with Auto-Refill discounts. Offer ends if eligibility requirements are not met. Additional terms may apply.”After this was pointed out to the agent he gave me the correct billing amount… but the online system still does not show the discount. I will see if I am billed properly next month.

I started claiming my soc sec benefit at 62 in 2025.  My husband will start claiming his benefit in January 2027.  How do I now get the spousal benefit which will be higher than my current benefit?  Is there a form I need to send to the SSA?

I read in your monthly magazines regarding this Telikin Computer made specially for seniors and easy to use even if had no tech experience.  I called and he gentlemen told me it was better than any computer on the market that would cost you over $2,000.  He painted a picture of how easy it was to use and you had all the help you needed so you were able to do everything on this computer.  I bought this computer which coat me over $1000+ in Nov. 2021.  What happened when the computer got her I had to leave for Iowa to my daughter's and I did not get to set up this computer until May 2022.  This computer is the worse thing I have ever gotten.  There is no easy way of using it unless you are an expert tech.  To this date I have not been able to use the video chat because the salesman forgot to tell me the people have to have the Telikin Web site and it does not work on phones, people have to have a computer in order for this to work.  Mostly none of

Just wanted to share some info I got today.I am shopping for identity theft services. The AARP website advertises LifeLock discounts of "up to 44%". I just got information directly from LifeLock earlier today (September 20, 2026 at about 4pm CDT) and the prices I was quoted reflect only "up to 36% discount" from standard prices. AARP: Please update the website to improve its accuracy of information for other future AARP website users. Still showing 44% is very misleading.Michael L.
