General Help

Since January 1, for the aarp rewards section of the web site, the first two pages at least do not award any points when doing the 450 point quizzes. The quizzes play but no points are awarded at the end. This happens to about at least 8 quizzes does anybody test this stuff on the web site before deploying?

Have GE profile front load washer barley 6 months out of the factory warranty sounds like a jet engine during the spin cycle, a known issue with these machines. GE refuses to repair.  Local company found bad inverter board, bearings and sensor w/i the motor.  Repair will be over $700.  I've filed c/o with BBB and will be writing to the CEO, Kevin Nolen.  AARP will not help. Any suggestions?

 I just attempted to enroll in two online classes - chair yoga and strength training.  With both (and I'm assuming for ALL classes), I am required to agree to let AARP use my name and photos for any purpose they wish.  WHAT???  This seems ridiculously intrusive to me, and I'm told there is no way to opt out of this requirement.  So - do I get a discount to not being able to access this part of AARP?

  I am trying to set up and account and password for "Senior Planet".  However, I get stuck in a loop.  I have already set up an account.  When I enter my user name and password, I receive a message saying that I need to reset my password.  When I click on the link and enter my e-mail to receive instructions and a link to create a new password, my account is not recognized.  I sent an e-mail in November asking for my account to be deleted so that I could start fresh.  No help was forthcoming.  Thank you for any advice, Elizabeth

I I have over 15,000 reward points and have tried numerous times to redeem them for a magazine subscription. It won't allow me to do it. Does anyone know why? It always says, "Unable to process your redemption request". I follow all the guidelines in redeeming my points.

my primary physician has submitted request for Zepbound and I am being continuously denied by Medicare. I have several healthcare problems and Medicare keeps denying me. I am wondering if there are others like me who are on Medicare, but has a weight problem and continuously or denied help. Look forward to hearing from others who have experienced this.

What is up with AARP?  They used to have great customer service, but now they treat you like a thief.  We all know the games don't always work as they are supposed to & don't give us the promised points.  Customer Service used to manually give us points.  Now, they're saying the points are a "bonus" & basically, tough if you don't get them.  Wrong.  I've invested time & I want the points.  I use those points to either buy things or for sweepstakes.  So, I do feel like I'm the one from whom something is being stolen.  I've really had it.  Will NOT be renewing my subscription.  Not worth the hassle.

Used an AARP sponsored insurance for my new motorcycle. Just found out that Foremost Insurance charged me for coverage I didn't ask for or need. Total for this scam $500. I'm getting back $114 for unused coverage, but how does AARP protect seniors-they don't. Discussed this with AARP to no avail. BEWARE! AARP is not on your side!!!I also dropped United Health sponsored by AARP, another scam. PS, they pay their top brass millions to cook up wallet draining schemes-don't fall for it!!! RR

Smart strategies for caregiving finances BROKEN still. it has been over 8 hours and still Domino GC broken even after watching videos multiple times. States you have already watched videos but the pop up window to CLAIM Domino GC is broken and only has the word TEST on it. Looks like 19 others have also commented on this issue on lesson page.  Update- still broken on Dec 01 @ 1:46 pm. Videos show 300 point value now instead of 600 points, but anyone who did videos earlier shows video completed already but does not allow to redeem with points. Still unable to receive credit for viewing videos and to redeem for Domino GC. Also the word 'TEST' has been removed on the pop up page where the word "CLAIM' should be. Hi.  I'm astonished that I can't find an option to opt out of the printed magazine and bulletin.  Please point me to how to do this if I've missed it.  If I can't do this for myself, please fix this for me AND put in a feature request to make this an option members can choose for themselves.  I would be very disappointed in AARP's level of environmental consciousness if this isn't already an option, and will re-evaluate my desire to continue as a member if it doesn't become an option.  Thanks.  --Robert

Where is the Voice of AARP on electronic scooters. In our building of 118 senior units, every resident has a horror story.  We cannot walk out the front door without being hit by or terrified by a passing scooter.  Despite presence of special bike/scooter lanes, we have counted as many as 11 scooters on our side of the sidewalk in a single minute. Even if a scooter rider wanted to stop, they cannot in a reasonable distance, and frankly, some treat it as a game--whack an old person.  Those in wheelchairs or walkers cannot use the sidewalk due to parked or turned over scooters. This problem is getting worse and worse.  Orthopedists, Pediatricians, and ER Physicians are warning the public about this problem.  Where is AARP?

The goals of AARP are decided at the highest level.  There is no way for members to address that.  We don't even have an influence on any of it. Just to give a small example.  When you talk about design for adults, you don't address having benches or covers at bus stops, or being to identify where the bus stop is at an intersection, or having signs identify which way a bus will be going. Transportation to/from medical appointments can be costly, if there are no direct routes.  I need to take 3 busses and still walk up a steep hill even though the distance is less than two miles.  As a result, I must take an Uber/Lift.  For a series of upcoming radiation, it will cost me over $600. You have a questionnaire distributed in Washington State.  The multiple choice format allows us to select from your pre-selected answers.  A few allow us to select "other," but don't allow us to say what the other is. If AARP wants to make sure we ha

So I clicked on the link.  Surprise! Under an AARP logo, the text tells me to "complete a quick survey for a chance to receive a Health Monitoring Kit... Rewards are limited." One on hand, the email is no worse than a million other fraudulent phishing bait-and-switch scams. But this one purports to be from AARP. I keep getting emails saying "You haven't finished customizing your AARP membership".  How do I make them stop?   

  Why do I keep getting subscription renewals at least 6 months before my subscription has expired?  This is a waste of time and paper and annoying.Please stop.  My subscription is up in May 2026 and I have already received tomailings to renew it!!   Why and how can I get AARP to stop and just send a renewal notice when due.Sincerely,PR

Any glitch in my connection, and I lose points, and the stupidest bot on the internet stops responding, kicking me out. I love the games! I love getting rewards (I wish it was more often). I expect to get my reward points, especially when your site recognizes that I completed the game AND won't let me play it again for points. I don't like spending my time playing for rewards and then not getting them. You keep taking the site offline to "fix" something, but you never seem to get it fixed. Please, please, please hire another IT department or a website builder, or something. Thanks for hearing my rant!

Every time I try to redeem points - or use them for a sweepstakes, I get this message;"Unable to process your redemption request" I was told to empty my cache, which I did, but it didn't fix the problem. It's been going on for a few months now.
