My wife and I have been considering an AARP membership for a couple years.  Today, we joined when we saw we could buy discounted Cirque du Soleil tickets as members. Unfortunately, their 'discounts' through their memberdeals.com website are NOT discounts at all!  The seats they offered us were $511 for two.  Buying those same seats on Bellagio's own site are $479. If AARP members are buying things that they think are discounted, but cost them more, then AARP is doing a disservice to us in the least, and possibly fraud at most.

AARP Extra Credit rewards are not working. I've done the videos and quizzes for each category. I'm still not able to redeem anything.How come this happens every month? PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!

I found some golf buy one get one on the app and now for some reason I can't find them. 

When I got my supplement (G), it included Silver Sneakers.  Now I can't find Silver Sneakers.  Is there a substitute?  That was part of me decision on what plan to get.   And, the premium has gone up despite being told it would not.   ARRRGHEllen

After searching this community, I see that Budget Car Rental has several complaints. Let me just recount ours. After booking and paying for a week's rental through the AARP emailed travel offer, I received an email confirmation of a hybrid Prius model sedan to be picked up from a nearby airport terminal. Thought all was in order.   My call to the office 3 hours prior to pickup revealed that Budget did not have a Prius anywhere in the area. Their replacement was a Chrysler Pacifica gas model -- not what anyone would call a "comparable car." Furthermore, each subsequent emailed confirmation was markedly higher in price than the original agreement. I cancelled the order and took my own car, which is exactly what I had wanted to avoid. My contention is that this is a classic bait-and-switch tactic, but Budget claims it isn't (?). They offered me three days of coupons, but how is this being held accountable? They blatantly did not honor a written contract. I'm also upset

Date: 04/08/2025As an AARP Member and using The AARP/Hartford Auto and Renters Bundle Insurance. I am retired. Don`t drive much. The Premiums are out of reach for Many of us as the Premiums have gone Shy High. I have called The Hartford and get the answer the US has experienced Hurricane's/Storms Etc., but not in this State (Maryland). What are seniors to do. This was a great encouragement for me to join AARP in the first place. The Premiums were Ok and then Bam, Premiums $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Shy High. I thought AARP was to help us Seniors. It is not just me. I know other Seniors with AARP/The Hartford and they don`t drive very much as well. Can AARP Help Me and all the responsible Seniors in this area (Maryland). Perhaps you should think of another Auto, Renters, Home owners Insurance Company as most of us went along with AARP`s suggestion to go to The Hartford. Dental insurance , Is there any for arrp members 

Going through AARP shows good rates, but these are not final pricing, which will include fees, and ends up being much more than the ones found through Kayak or other OTA (Online Travel Agencies). Check the upper right corner during reservation and you'll see the very small final price. Very easy to miss and you end up thinking you're paying for the price shown at the beginning.

Very poor experience dealing with AARP Travel.  Sharing this experience so others won’t fall into the same trap !!!!!I made a rental car reservation thru MEX Car Rental in the AARP website.  The vendor clearly stated “Free Unlimited Mileage” in their ad in the AARP website.  I made the reservation and received the email confirmation stating “Free Unlimited Mileage”.  When I went to pick up the car, the agent informed me that there was a daily 50 miles allowance.  I showed her my confirmation with the free unlimited mileage printed in it and she responded with “I know it’s somewhat misleading but somewhere in the fine print under the terms and conditions section, it mentions the miles allowance”.  So I did not pick up the car since I was going to exceed the mileage allowance.  She agreed to cancel the reservation and put notes on the record for me to request a full refund thru the AARP Travel.  I called them and they refused to give me the credit!

AARP is supposed to be a Nonprofit and claims to not support/promote any companies; yet they do based on the commercials and advertising. I find it egregious that they support United healthcare and promote signing up with this horrible DIS-advantage company!!! UHC denied medication which could have healed me in less than 2 weeks numerous times. The last time I tried to appeal the decision some insensitive young girls were laughing in the background saying my appeal would never get approved. This was January 2024. By August sepsis started to settle in and I had to be hospitalized. After weekly surgeries including 4-1/2 weeks on a wound vac until December 16 I was sent to an UN-skilled nursing facility until April 22, 2025!!! I am home by choice because of the lack of care, but I am still bedridden indefinitely. So the denial of medication cost of $286 turned into hospital/medical bills almost totaling over $200,000!!! I have spent hours on the phone with Optum Rx trying to get my Mom's Alzheimer's medication from Optum Home Delivery using the AARP Prescription Discount Card. I was expecting to find others reporting the issue here, but didn't find anything. The medication, Galantamine ER, is cost prohibitive using her health insurance, so we got the discount card and used it without a problem to fill 30-day supplies at Safeway Pharmacy. When we determined she could tolerate the med at the higher dosage, the price had gone way up in January for a 30-day supply at a local pharmacy. Since Optum Rx provides home delivery for the AARP Prescription Discount Card program, I asked the PCP to send a new Rx for a 90-day supply to Optum Rx. Optum automatically put the prescription through her AARP Medicare Advantage health plan from United Healthcare, and the order was not filled because her insurance required prior approval. I was disappointed to see AARP has stopped their discount eye exam program.  Was this to move members into paid insurance programs?

Joined bc aarp and hilton having a partnership to go to silver status when booking through aarp with a link and additional two stays in 6 months to maintain silver. No one at aarp knew... at least three. I sent screenshot to them from their site, but could not locate it. Literally, the only reason. I would do some research on why you are joining before you actually join. 

SO FRUSTRATED! I've had AARP Hartford for my auto insurance for years - no problem. I was under contract to buy a new home and needed a homeowner policy - which they added and bundled - still no problem. Both accounts showed up in my portal. The home purchase blew up so it was cancelled. Went under contract on another home and contacted them to set me up with a policy for that property. In order for me to set up an account with them online I needed to do so with a DIFFERENT Email because they could no longer merge them into one online account. Around and around I went with 5 different people. I am still employed as an IT professional - quite versed in the technical aspects of what they were talking about -- and still got nowhere. The last person I spoke with agreed with me and said she was sorry -- I told her "You're telling me that some senior citizen who has one email address now has to create another one (if they even know how to) in order to make your system work for them

Received a flyer in the mail concerning Hartford Insur. So, I think I have not quoted my Auto Insurin a few years. Time to do it. Now on the front of the flyer it listed four insur co's., that people say hartford is less for each amt., by the co's. I looked at that as B.S. out of the gate. Like a Liberty Mutual ad. So I have my policy in front of me with my insurance co and I call. She ask basic question then she asked if I would like to be monitored for my driving habits and over time your insurance can go down if your habits are law abiding. I laughed. First, I don't look for anyone to control my life or monitor me; Secondly, that's Orwellian. Not interested and that should be illegal. Not getting off to a good start. So, she finishes. I have paid in full 2017 Toyota Avalon and a 2023 Toyota Camry TRD. Our driving record is impecable, and we are both retired and luck if we put 14K miles/yr  on the cars total.  Where are kroger and albertson's discounted gift cards?This is not a rhetorical question. Is profit for share holders and c-level executives so much more important than good will?We should concur that store level employees are significantly underpaid and devalued.  Why did kroger and albertson's stop offering discounted e-gift cards to aarp members? We should all demand an answer from each grocer.   

Hello! Since the most recent big "remodel" of the Rewards earning activities pages, I have noticed that there are almost 20 of the videos that either do not load, load on a Spanish-language page (and for some reason do not then grant points), are unclickable, are not marked as "checked off" in the list after I've completed them, or simply do award points upon completion for some unknown reason. They seem to have been loaded incorrectly. Thanks!

I just had an extremely frustrating conversation with an agent from AARP--whose name I couldnt understand and I wound up hanging up after 20 minutes.I had called a local Theatre to make reservations for a play:  Gateway Playhouse in Bellport New York.   The person on the phone at Gateway told me that I can get discount tickets through my AARP Membership.  But I need the CODE.I tried to explain this to the AARP agent.   She kept asking me if the person at the Playhouse told me the Code.   I said he didnt.  He told me I have to get it from AARP.  If he had told me the Code, I wouldnt have had to call AARP.She looked it up and said that Gateway Playhouse wasn't coming up. She said she would ask someone else.  We went round and round!    I waited on the phone for 20 minutes and then finally asked her if someone from AARP could call me back.  She said they dont do that.  I am at a loss here.    Can any

Google AARP and TARIFFS and what do you get? Your get a statement that reads as follows:               "AARP DOESN'T HAVE A FORMAL, PUBLICLY STATED POLICY ON TARIFFS" With millions of AARP members losing billions of dollars in savings........... With millions of AARP members paying millions of dollars for more expensive goods..... It is time for AARP to get "OFF ITS BUTT" and PUBLICLY STATE A POLICY!!!!!!! To keep silent as SENIOR ACCOUNTS ARE DRAINED and essential goods RISE EXPONENTIALLY can only be construed as agreement with the tariffs.                                   DO SOMETHING AARP!!!!!!!!

Just got a set of AARP Prescription Discount cards, personalized with my name, through a program run by OPTUM RX, whoever they are.  These cards were sent with no request being made for them by me.  They were sent by AARP. These cards provide the following benefits: A DRUG FOR WHICH I PAY $80 FOR A THREE MONTH SUPPLY WOULD ONLY COST $1600+ THROUGH THIS WONDERFUL AARP BENEFIT PROGRAM!!!!!
