Hello! Has anyone up here ever won an AARP Sweepstakes? Or knows someone personally who has? I know the odds are against us, but to play these games constantly for years and not win a thing is suspect.....

WE would luv to "hear" from YOU!!! Maybe share any TIPS that are "helping" you with transportation. 🤔As I AGE I know at some point I will NO longer be able to "drive" but until then my "ride" (2006 Honda CR-V) comes 1st after my bills. I keep up on her maintenance. Lol, too old to be stuck out on the highway broken down or freezing my old a.s off somewhere during the Winter. Now I do stay home ALOT during the Winter as I live on a hill. Learn't that lesson a few Winters ago. Made it down my hill but could NOT make it back up.When she is at my Mechanic, I use the City Bus & Uber if I have to leave her. I try NOT to as my "tolerance" for the passengers & Uber Drivers is ZERO. Now there are sometimes NICE Uber Drivers, usually the old people like me. My daughter pays for my Uber & I have a "free" bus id for bus. Only costs 85 cents each way with a "free" transfer to a 2nd bus from their "downtown" terminal as needed. I keep "change" in my purse so I have it always. Bus setup

Life takes us through so many different experiences—relationships, family, work, difficult times, happy moments, and unexpected changes. I’d love to hear from others about the things life has taught you along the way. What experience has changed the way you see life? What advice would you give your younger self? What brings you happiness these days? And what is something you’ve learned that you wish you had known earlier? Feel free to share your story, big or small. I think we can learn a lot from each other.

New topic featuring funny stories. This is something to think about when negative people are doing their best to rain on your parade… So remember this story the next time …A woman was at her hairdresser's getting her hair styled for a trip to Rome with her husband.. She mentioned the trip to the hairdresser, who responded: " Rome? Why would anyone want to go there? It's crowded and dirty. You're crazy to go to Rome. So, how are you getting there?""We're taking Continental," was the reply. "We got a great rate!"Continental?" exclaimed the hairdresser. "That's a terrible airline. Their planes are old, their flight attendants are ugly, and they're always late. So, where are you staying in Rome?""We'll be at this exclusive little place over on Rome's Tiber River called Teste.""Don't go any further. I know that place. Everybody thinks it’s going to be something special and exclusive, but it's really a dump.""We're going to go to see the Vatican and maybe get to see the Pope.""That's ri

Hello from Nashville, TN🥳 I’m new to AARP & looking forward to exploring the benefits💞

Until just today I have not really felt so bad about aging as I do now. I am 64 and just went to a seminar this morning on senior linkage line information sources. I have also been going to various medicare seminars to start learning about my upcoming options. Usually, in my life I have enjoyed problem solving and learning information was a way to feel empowered. But lately, I have felt terribly overwhelmed by problems to be solved and all this aging information seems to me a bit overwhelming as I navigate to try to figure out how I can care for myself as I grow older. I have no kids to help me out with this. As I was driving somewhere today, I suddenly just started crying, tears coming down my cheeks. I am starting to very, very overwhelmed with so many aspects of aging and all the upcoming changes. I think another thing that spilled over is the ongoing severe stress on retirement investment accounts due to the decreases the past year and now this horrible banking crises starting. I f

Last night a local AARP manager in PA spoke about aarp pickleball in the area but I do not see of events or clinics anywhere from aarp in our state. What am I missing?

After a while, following the death of someone close to you, you begin to have moments and sometimes a few hours during which you feel absorbed in something pleasant, and “forget” to think about your loved one. Do you sometimes feel a pang of guilt when you’ve had a good time “without her/him?”  One antidote to feeling disloyal and guilty for feeling good for a change, is to imagine that your loved one is smiling down at you and cheering you on. That they’d approve of your enjoyment if they were still on this earth.Do any of you feel this way sometimes?
