How do I enable 2 factor or multifactor authentication [ Microsoft authenticator or Google authenticator ] on my AARP login. Currently it sends a text to my cell phone but I'm wondering if there is a way to setup one of the authenticator apps that has an ever changing one time code. Microsoft authenticator or Google authenticator is what I use for other accounts when available. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/about-microsoft-authenticator-9783c865-0308-42fb-a519-8cf666fe0accThanks for your assistance!
I want to cancel my membership. I tried calling the 1800 # and that's not even an option since you can't get past all the "special" offers. Can someone help me get this done?
It appears that the charging port was not populated. When you plug in the charging cord it does not appear to do anything and when you look at the receptacle it is only a plastic hole with no electrical contacts. Of course the charging light does not come on.

I received an email today that was in my spam but I believe it is valid, discussing AARP lawsuit for members who are on Facebook and accessed AARP videos. Look in your spam, maybe you are getting this email as well.Comes from Markels et al v. AARP Settlement Administrator --there is a lot more to this email, I am just including the first part in case you need to investigate further. Dear Class Member:A Settlement has been reached with AARP in a class action lawsuit alleging that AARP violated the Video Privacy Protection Act (“VPPA”) by disclosing the identities and aarp.org video-viewing activity of certain members and registered users of aarp.org without lawful consent. The lawsuit contends that AARP transmitted this information to Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta”)— the owner of Facebook—through use of a tool called the Meta Pixel. AARP denies all of the allegations made in the lawsuit, denies that it violated the VPPA, and denies that AARP did anythi
There have been so many movies and documentaries you have offered but always at 8 p.m. Eastern time. On the West Coast that is getting off work or dinner time. Once a movie had a showing offered at a different time but not that I have ever seen offered since. We pay the same subscription rate but are not equitably offered these move showings.
i am unable to add the membership card to Wallet after renewal. I deleted/removed the expired card in Wallet which said expired for the prior year membership. Now when I try to add from the App or the link, it doesn't do anything - the card is not added to Wallet. How can this issue be fixed? Thank you in advance for any help.
I am unable to add my AARP membership card to my Apple Wallet. The Add to Apple Wallet button does not work in any search engine (Safari, FireFox, Chrome), nor does it work in AARPNow App. I know I can access my digital card in AARPNow, but I prefer to use my Apple Wallet. Any suggestions?
We get 8 to 15 spam phone calls Monday through Friday! We don't have caller ID so we answer the phone, almost every call starts with a recording and then we are transferred to a "specialist". Since they wasted my time I stay on to waste their time and when I tell them to quit scamming people and get a real job they either hang up on me and about once a day they start swearing at me. These calls are mostly for Medicare part C, but are also med health, extended auto warranty, "you've been in an auto accident", ect, ect. Every call is from an off shore call center and the accents are so heavy they are hard to understand. Sometimes we even recognize the voice from an earlier call. We are on the national do not call list but that doesn't seem to help.So my real question is what can AARP do to help with this situation. I understand from other AARP members and similarly aged people that they are having the same issue.
It's so frustrating that I have been trying to purchase gift cards for 2 days with no luck. I keep being told to just keep trying with no hope in sight. Someone please help!
AARP Help Center, I have been unable to purchase any AARP discounted gift cards since January 2025. I have called AARP support 6 or more times already, but the issue was not resolved. I went through numerous iterations with both AARP and AARP Rewards customer support to eliminate any possible causes on my end, including: 1) checked my browser, 2) edited my credit card to match the exact name on the credit card, 3) removed VPN, and more. Nothing worked. Yet my husband used the exact same computer, browser, and credit card to purchase gift card on his account, and his request was successful. I'm exhausted and want this issue resolved! Please help!
I hate the new Mahjong. The symbols are difficult to read and match. Please return to the old one. I have had to stop playing it because it is too hard to read. Thank you.Ihla
I received a letter today from AARP - "Over the past few weeks we've been reminding you to restore your AARP membership. You still have not responded and now our records indicate that your membership has expired". They provided me with my membership number. Problem is I have not received any reminders. Further problem is I renewed my membership on April 29. I received an email thanking me for renewing my membership. This was a day before it was set to expire. Same membership number that was on my expired membership letter. What gives - are they trying to make me think that I did not renew just to get more money. This is frustrating.
While I agree with the Social Security Bill of Rights (no cuts, no privatization, no etc), it's just no no no. Why isn't there something about improvements and reforms to social security - e.g. raising the income caps on social security taxes - I've read that this alone could fully fund social security. Just saying no and what we want in benefits, without talking about what's wrong and needs improvement, will not garner any additional support that we don't already have or gain partnership with other special interest initiatives with the complimentary solutions. I think we actually have lost some influence on issues related to Social Security. The opponents to Social Security have been playing the long game and it seems to be coming to fruition - by delaying, waiting for (or causing) the national debt to drown social security, framing the discussion as entitlement, all leading to the de-fanging the 'third rail' of politics.
I have never saw anything on AARP if there are any discounts for this hotel. I plan to stay at one in Tampa FL soon but I see their reviews are not very good. Has anyone ever stayed there? The one I am looking at is on Anderson Road in Tampa.
One of the benefits of my AARP membership was instant silver status with Hilton Honors. However, I no longer have silver status and I'm trying to figure out if this benefit was eliminated, or if I need to re-link my AARP and Hilton accounts. Thanks in advance for any help!
As of May 1, 2026, the scores yesterday and today are in the 144,000 range. Someone is gaming the systerm.
Please add a Mortgage Calculator to your web site///Thanks Bob
The AARP TX Texas Shred 'Em Event original date was cancelled because of weather and rescheduled for May 2, 2026. I cancelled my golf game and drove over an hour on May 2, 2026 for the first rescheduled day only to find no one there. What happened? Was it cancelled and I missed the announcement? Is the shred day going to be rescheduled again? Is there going to be an actual event we can attend? I emailed the txaarp@aarp.org but have not received a response. Thanks.Mike Chapman
I'm trying to get into my account at UnitedHealthcare. The site won't let me set up an account, although I have tried both my account number and my Medicare number, both of which are accurate. The error message reads: (Error Code:10002) User Not Eligible: We're having trouble finding you in our records. Please check that your entries match the information on your health insurance ID card. They DO. Now, why would I not be "eligible"? I have tried numerous times on three different browsers, with the same result. It appears other people are also experiencing problems. This is frustrating and unacceptable! Why is this happening?
Just a tip for other seniors looking for a cheap cell phone service without a lot of bells and whistles. Consumer Cellular offers a plan that "looks" like it's a pay-as-you-go deal. That you pay monthly...no long term contracts...etc, etc. One might assume if you stop using the service, ie, get hospitalized, become infirm, spend time in rehab, get admitted to a nursing home, pass away...the service is not being used month after month after month...they would just cancel the account. You might think it's a monthly service....paid monthly...not being used...end of account. Right? Wrong. Just because you're not using the service doesn't mean they stop billing you. They do. Monthly. Even when the poor soul is not using the service. And they will continue to bill you until you cancel the service...by Phone. Or by Live Chat with their Customer Service. Because there is no way to cancel the service on line. There is no "Cancel Service" button. I spent over an hour trying
I used my Barclay reward points to renew AARP membership. They took the rewards points and never renewed my membership. I got the code and did everything it said. It never showed up as renewed.I did chat with AARP and the person asked for my mailing address. I gave it. I typed it in correct, I should know my own address. She asked for it again. I just gave it to her. She says, Ma'am, can you type it in again. I give up. At this point, I've been a member for quite a few years. I think both sites purposely do not work in order to make you call. I'm not calling or renewing at this point. I just lose my reward points. Good day
I booked a hotel room through AARP's travel benefit powered by Expedia. It was at the Fairfield Inn in Crete, Nebraska. The price they showed was $111 per night which would have been $555 plus taxes. Instead I was charged 156 per night for a total of $887 with taxes. When I asked about my so called AARP discount I was informed it was only on select hotels and mine wasn't one!!! The Expedia employees were RUDE! When I complained to AARP the AARP employee had a I-don't-care-so-shut-up-and-go-away attitude. So I cancelled my membership. I had renewed for four years so I asked to be refunded the two unused years. However because my Bank had cancelled my old debit card and issued me a new one because they had detected it had been compromised after I renewed my membership. So I was told too bad you don't get your money back! THANKS ALOT! Yet another "Wolf in sheep's clothing" to rip-off the elderly while claiming they're
For days now, the Daily Crossword isn’t saving and showing monthly progress. It also doesn’t display correctly, with the bottom portion of the crossword covered by the keyboard. I have checked and am logged in. I am using safari browser and have restarted my IPad. This seems to be an issue on your end, as I see many others are having this issue.
I do NOT recommend using AARP Travel Center powered by Expedia. I used AARP Travel Center powered by Expedia to book a flight, on American, and it was a very frustrating experience and I feel ripped off. I made the reservation and then received an email that the ticket could not be issued and I needed to rebook the flight. The airline would not help me, they referred me back to Expedia. Expedia said they could not help me, that they would send an email to the airline asking that they refund my money. Expedia estimated it would be 7-10 days to get my refund and suggested I book through them for a flight on another airline. What?!!!! Why would I give them money again after they already ripped me off.
