[Tuesday 9/22/26 3pm ET]Lol, thought I had SUBSCRIBED to your "Grief & Loss Forum" so I know when someone posts in it when I am OFFLINE. Have NOT been getting any "notifications" for THIS FORUM of late.(1) I just REdid my subscription hoping I will get "notified" (via email) moving forward. 🤞(2) AARP Darryl had "mentioned" in one of his posts about "changing" OUR SUBSCRIPTIONS to what we want. Remember when you guys 1st setup the NEW SITE, we were ALL "automatically" subscribed to ANY topic we "responded" to. I had "shutoff" this OPTION in my SETTINGS as my IN BOX was full of emails I really DIDNOT want.➡️[*** Lol, finally found my SUBSCRIPTIONS TAB just now. And yes, it has stuff in it I have NO interest in. How do I remove UNWANTED SUBSCRIPTIONS?(3) I am now wondering IF my doing this (see #2), has affected getting the notifications I DO WANT (only for your Grief & Loss Forum)?(4) Is this "fixable"?Thanks,Nicole 🤗💛

Hello, I'm from the SF Bay Area & I'm new to this community

I know some people would look at this question and immediately think of the 'grief' connected to the passing of a loved one, but I am asking about the grief that comes with losing your independence due to medical conditions. How does one manage knowing they are losing their sense of self and what their life was vs to what it has become?

What made that place special to you?Who were you with when you visited? What is your favorite memory from that trip?Did you try any food there that you really enjoyed? What was the most surprising thing you saw or experienced?Would you visit that place again? Why?What place would you love to visit someday?

Just about the only membership benefit that I take advantage of is the information (sometimes useful!) in the online magazine and bulletin. I tried the iOS app and found it wanting (and a space-hog).  I need to be able to “clip” the articles that are important to me and couldn’t do that in the app.  It’s my understanding that it USED to be possible to save the publications as PDFs from the website and that feature is now gone?  If so - bring it back, please. Also - the main reason I’m posting - I will NEVER remember to log back into the website to read each new issue.  Can we please sign up for email notification of new issues?

Does AARP have an email address to contact them?

What is Crosswordling? Crosswordling is a word game that combines the green, yellow, and gray letters of Wordle with a crossword puzzle. The crossword is filled out, but some letters are in the wrong places. Unscramble them to beat the level!   What is the goal of the game? The goal of the game is to complete each level, moving pairs of letters around until every letter in the crossword is green – the correct letter in the correct spot.   When do I beat a level? Each level will present you with a crossword where the letters are all out of order. Green letters are the correct letter in the correct place; yellow letters are the correct letter in the wrong place; and gray letters are incorrect letters in the wrong places. When all letters are green, the crossword is completely fixed, and the level ends.   How do I play once I begin a level? To unscramble letters, simply click one letter – it will turn a shade of blue – and then click the letter you’d like to swap it with. Th

Hello, I am from Pennsylvania and new to all of this. I have been retired for only 4 months and widowed for 8 months. I hope everyone is having a beautiful Sunday!!!

I received dozens of AARP renewal letters in the last year or so, often promoting a soon-to-expire special rate that is it special and isn't expiring. I generally support what AARP does, but i'm not renewing because I don't support this manipulative, annoying marketing.

Hi everyone! I'm new here and really inspired by all the beautiful travel stories I’ve seen in this forum.I’m not from the U.S., but I’ve always been curious—what’s one place you've traveled to that brought you peace or joy? Maybe somewhere by the sea, in the mountains, or even just a quiet town?I’d love to hear about your favorite memories, or get tips for future travel dreams.I'm just someone who enjoys listening, learning, and connecting with kind people around the world 🌍💛Thanks for reading, and wishing you a calm, sunny day!– Anna

I was informed there is no universal/uniform electronic health record in a timeline for patients and healthcare providers to review. Not having the vital information limits healthcare proivders ability to make medical decisions and recommendations for the patient, it puts the patient’s health in jeopardy.  In my case, it has caused radiation side effects from too many X-rays and CT scans.  It also increased my healthcare costs abd resulted in being referred to doctors I have already seen

My doctor prescribed a new medication for me and I asked him to send it to Walmart Pharmacy to try it. ExpressScripts STOLE the prescription and tried to charge me $97. Walmart had received the prescription but was trying to contact my doctor because the dosage instructions were incorrect. Meanwhile, ExpressScripts went ahead and filled the prescription with the incorrect instructions and wouldn’t let me cancel the order even before it had shipped.I will never use a mail-order pharmacy again. They do not care about your health and do not check the prescriptions before filling them. Use your local pharmacy!

AARP pulling coupons from entertainment Inc that are old and outdated. I have reported this before but nothing is done about it. It’s uncomfortable to give a coupon to a business owner and they claim they know nothing about it. I don’t have much local and so far 3 out of 3 aren’t accepted/business not there.

Hello, I’m new here. Hope I’m texting in the right space.

If you go to a pharmacy and they hand you a prescription then tell you it cost $160, you have the choice of handing it back.  NOT WITH OPTUM RX.  Website said no co-pay.  Prescription recieved then credit card bill arrives with $160 charge.  Called Optum RX.  They will not accept any return nor issue any refund.  Called Regions Bank to dispute charge.  They refused to accept dispute but charge penalties and interest while reviewing my case and reported a late payment to credit bureaus.  The whole experience has been BAD!!!

I just read an article that scared the heck out of me. I have never suffered from hot flashes or other menopausal issues, so I was reluctant to try an estrogen cream that my doctor prescribed when I told him I was starting to get incontinence and had recently had a UTI. Then I saw this article which is too long to post here. Recently, the concerns about hormone replacement therapy (HRT) leading to cancer were disproved. This article stated that estrogen vaginal creams need to be used by menopausal women to prevent UTI’s. If untreated, UTI’s lead to sepsis and even death. The original article was published by USA Today. I saw it on Yahoo. Here’s the link:Exclusive: FDA warnings persisted as UTIs turned deadly in menopauseIt seems the link doesn’t work, so here is the information about the article:Exclusive: FDA warnings persisted as UTIs turned deadly in menopauseLaura Trujillo, USA TODAYUpdated Tue, September 22, 2026 at 2:03 AM MST19 min read

Everyday after I try to gain new points in the reward program, it says I am maxed out. I click on a video that I have not watched clearly showing the points available as 300. At the conclusion of the video, this same maxed out message appears. I have tried  clearing the cache and even going on under ‘private’, I am on an Apple mac. This has been happening for several days. IT IS VERY VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!Can someone please fix this.Thank you.

Once rewards points are spent on an e-gift card, like for one $5 Lowe’s e-gift card, how long does it take to get an email with the e-card details? I redeemed 25K points for one e-gift card. The site indicated I would receive further details via email. But I haven’t received any information about it. It’s been two days. Yes, I have checked the spam folders. And the email I use on AARP is only used for AARP; I assume that the email address that would be used to communicate details about the card. Also, this email address is one that I can track independently. Nothing has been forwarded to me using that email address.
