What is Euchre?

Euchre is a trick-taking card game played in teams of two, using a 24-card deck.

How do I win?

Your team must be the first to reach 10 points. Points are earned by winning tricks and playing alone successfully.

What if I need a rules refresher?

Click “rules” on the right side of the screen.

What’s a trump suit?

Each round has a trump suit that beats all others. It’s chosen during the bidding phase.

Can I play with friends?

Yes. You can play against computer opponents or invite friends to private tables. You can also play against human opponents you don’t know.

What is a bower?

The Right Bower is the Jack of the trump suit, and the Left Bower is the Jack of the same color. They are the highest cards.

How many cards are dealt?

Each player receives five cards. The remaining cards form the kitty.

What is the kitty?

The kitty consists of four cards, one of which is turned up to help determine trump.

Can I change my partner?

In online play, you may be paired randomly or invite a friend.

What happens if no one calls trump?

The dealer must choose a trump suit or pass, depending on the rules.

Is Euchre suitable for beginners?

Yes. It’s easy to learn and offers strategic depth for experienced players.

Also, can the dealer avoid getting stuck with the bid, like throw in the hand & pass the deal?

Hi....for some reason it tells me I am banned from euchre? Why is that

Additionally, it will not even allow me to play bots...i guess im glad I decided NOT to become an AARP member even though im 54 and retired/disabled. If the rest of the company operates based on the same principles as this game is admin'd then I dont want no part of it.
