My plan was $19 + 5 for unlimited talk and text. My sister had the same plan and had she not checked their plans we would never had known our plans were obsoleted months ago and replaced with a lower cost plan ($19) with more data. No notification to anyone still paying more on a plan that no longer exists. CC told me they had no way to notify those paying more. I'll bet they have a way to notify everyone if the price goes up. Plus they told me they had no way of telling me how many months I was paying $5 more than I should have. They acted as though they were doing me a favor by refunding $5 for the month I called. Check your plans! AARP was aware of this but they didn't tell me of any notifications to it's members.
I just contacted Walmart which has stated there is no AARP $40 discount off Walmart+ $98 annual membership fee.
I've been paying for multi-year memberships to AARP, and last took a 5 year special. Yet, I keep getting ENDLESS requests to signup for automatic annual enrollment - even though my current end date is in 2033 !! Enough already! I rarely if ever want to sign up for automatic annual enrollments (anywhere), I want to choose, and I can often get better price by doing a multi-year signup. I should be able to choose to be removed from continuous nags, and really shouldn't be contacted about memberships when I'm paid 7 years into the future.
AARP constantly sending renewal mail is a pain and very wasteful! I have until12/31, and for you to continue to send out reminders is just ridiculous! Just stop it!
My wife is the second person on my account, to login to the app does she use my credentials or create her own?
AARP should do better on Benefits & Discounts. They are not worth that much.
Will you stop... now I remember why I cancelled my last membership. You bombard people with your never ending junkmail and email spam. Stop it!
We printed the Mai Tai (Westmont, IL) discount coupon offering a BOGO entree, enjoyed dinner an hour later and when settling up, were informed that the AARP/Entertainment coupons were not being honored as the restaurant was under new management. It was an unexpected surprise. That coupon should be pulled off the AARP site. Management acknowledged that other patrons had asked to redeem the same coupon. I attempted to report it to AARP under scams and fraud, but apparently this forum is the only platform to make this known. Going forward, we will be inquiring about coupon validity BEFORE placing our orders.
How can someone, opt out from AARP magazines and insurance companies filling up my PO box?
My husband and I got our discount cards and found that the best pricing was with the OptumRx home delivery when we search drug pricing so we clicked the button to signup. We were able to complete the AARP Verification form and the HealthSafe ID Let's Get Started form as well as the verification codes sent to email and text. It's the Identification number (AARP member ID) that returns an unable to verify message on the HealthSafe ID pages. I verified that my name, birthdate and AARP member ID on the HeatthSafe ID form matches my AARP account. If I skip the verification, I get a different form that still will not accept my AARP member number as the identification number. I have no access to order an OptumRX home delivery. I received no help when I called the phone number for setting up home delivery either. Do members have this benefit or not?
I'm at my wits end on this. I followed the AARP link to get the Walmart+ discount. I tried with an existing account and a new account. I tried 7 times on 3 different browsers and 3 different payment options. Each time, Walmart processed the payment and then a dialog came up saying my account can't be created right now. The charge hit my credit card and was immediately reversed. My account info between AARP and Walmart match. My credit card company thought I was a victim of fraud. I'm super frustrated with both AARP and Walmart for this. I would like to get a discount but my time has value. I shouldn't have to spend hours trying to get a $40 annual discount. Please don't just post the link and tell me to use it. I don't recall ever having Walmart+ before and as I said, I tried once with a brand new Walmart account. Same result. Will Walmart apply the discount if I call?
I decided to give Consumer Cellular a try because I was intrigued by their low prices. After not being that impressed, I decided to go with Mint Mobile. I ended my service with Consumer Cellular on 4/19 but was surprised when I received another bill after my service ended. I tried to get info online but could no longer access my account to even remove my payment method. I had to call to find out Consumer Cellular is a post-paid service even though I’m pretty sure I had to initially pay upfront. I was told that would be my last payment but lo and behold I get an email saying another full month’s service fee is due. I call again and I’m told this was for the billing cycle that started just before I stopped service and they don’t prorate. So here I am being asked to continue paying the full price for a service I have not even had for the last month and a half. CONSUMER CELLULAR IS A TOTAL SCAM!! Stay away!!
Anyone newbies to AARP noticed that they are inundated with telemarketer calls since signing up? We get on average 10 calls a day for senior services since signing up. I get the organizations sell on our information, but this is ridiculous! Makes me want to tell my friends to not both signing up with AARP because it's not worth the hassle. R.
I received the free gift portable power battery and was able to charge it with the included charging cable. There is no way to use it to charge either a iPhone or android phone with the 2 other adapters included. The instructions are garbage... Neither of the included phone adapters will fit into the power outlet on the side of the unit also used for charging it. The adapters also will not work with any of my phone cables either for the iPhone 12 or iPhone 16 Pro. The only cable that will fit into the female side port is the included cable with the USB end. The included adapters will not fit anything. It there is a secret to making this work someone please send me the instructions otherwise this is just another useless "gift".
On the Restaurant Discount page it says, "15% off on the dine in & pick up orders." I have never had a problem with that until yesterday. I was told that the items we ordered did not qualify. I have never been told that before. Upon my investigation of this, by having to click on the Denny's advertisement on the AARP discount page. I got this, "15% Off Your CheckMembers save 15% on their checks every day—including diner classics and breakfast items. Maximum discount not to exceed $10." Then I had to click a "learn more" tab, but I also notice this at the bottom of the page, "You’ll leave AARP and go to the website of a trusted provider. The provider’s terms, conditions, and policies apply." Clicking on learn more, I get this, "AARP MEMBERS GET 15% OFFFrom your favorite go-to breakfast meals to our latest delicious creations, we treat our AARP members to delicious savings all day long.Available only to current AARP memb
In the past, I happily donated to AARP.But ever since then, I have received letter after letter asking for more donations. I have asked nicely for AARP to stop sending these types of letters. But once again, I received another letter (I wish I could attach the letter). But this time it reads as though I should feel guilty if I do not donate!Shelley Goode, is this how AARP members should feel?!?
General question. Does AARP have approved Personal Financial advisors listed anywhere. I hate to just look in a phone book.
Over the last MONTH I have reported a problem with my ability to redeem rewards points via chat and telephone. It's always the same: "I assure you the investigation into this problem is ongoing." The CSR really has no idea what's going on. Nothing has been done. It's an account issue that should take 30 seconds to solve. I'm not just being cynical. I taught Information Technology at university for 30 years. Everything is done online in 2026. It's just not that hard.
It has been a month since the problem was escalated and still no resolution. Is this incompetence or disinterest?
In redeeming points for AARP Programs - at this time there is one for Wish of a Lifetime - 4000 points, how much money does that translate into? Seeing as $5 gift cards can be purchased for points ranging from 8000 - 28000, what number is used for AARP program donations? Inquiring minds want to know...
This is the most expensive place to get auto insurance, I thought aarp was supposed to help seniors but apparently they are not, the only good thing about this place is that you get discount at restaurants and that’s it. Why don’t they help with insurance and anything else, do they get money out of it or something
today is my birthday - i get an email from AARP saying select either a walmart or Amazon gift card for my birthday - then I am made to spin for it - which i did not win the spin so no card - total crap!!!
I used to be able to add events to the community calendar, but the website has changed. How can I do that now?
Went to this link in Firefox for membership. I was unable to join for $50 5-year plan. CHAT on this page told me to call 800-687-2277 for membership assistance. This number only provides a medical device. Is this link a valid AARP link for membership??https://appsec.aarp.org/mem/join?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23725818718&gclid=EAIaIQobChMImMbV1bullQMVmDcIBR1cdhp3EAAYASAAEgIubPD_BwE&tc_tm_xg=sbmemaarppros&tc_campaign=SBMEMAARPPROS&nl=mb&tc_channel=paidsearch&tc_vendor=google&cmp=PDSXLGY6JP1DP&campaignid=UBTPGBMY2
I read the AARP magazine and bulletin online. When I received the june 2026 email notifying me that there were new ones available, I tried to log in and read them. However, I was in Singapore and you have set up your website to not allow access from there. That doesn't seem reasonable - why would you do that?
