I would like to better understand the volunteer opportunities with AARP, can you help?
How come I cannot log into AARP news on the Apple News page like I can with WSJ and some other subscriptions I have?
I purchased an AirBnB gift card and have not received an email. It has been less than 24 hours but I feel if $400 in showing on my credit card statement then I should have access to the gift card. I wanted to make the last payment which is due with the gift card.
Moved to a new state - how can I change email notifications from NJ to NC?My address is changed in the contact us page (months ago).I'm still getting updates on AARP in NJ via email.I looked in the communications area to see if there is a specific, state-based publication option and couldn't find it.
I am beyond frustrated with AARP's emails containing links for things I want to read further. The links open in a new window but they require you to log in. There's no log in link on the page so you open a new window to main site and log in. Then do a search for the article you were originally going to read and only get articles that are years old (no way to sort by date). Information changes too quickly for old articles to be of any use.So, I look for some way to report the problem. Nothing. When you click the "contact" link, there is nothing with an email address to send questions to. It does show a chat option, but it doesn't work/do anything. There's also an option to share your screen. Don't know if it works or not because I don't allow anyone access to my computer. It's not very often I try to access any articles because most of them are not realistic or are so vague you'd think they were written by AI. Case in point - a recent article about creating a budget complete with downloa
Dear AARP, Every month I wake up midnight on the first day of the month to earn extra credit rewards. Every month it is a debacle. It usually takes hours for your system to catch up or resolve itself. I hope there is admins in the background fixing the problems, but this is just a horrible experience. Why so broken for so long?
For years my AARP Medicare Supplement plan has offered Silver Sneakers. I used it at my local YMCA, as have many of my friends. My wife, who just turned 65, just started using the online version of Silver Sneakers after using it at the Y also, through her own AARP membership, We do NOT use the Medicare Advantage program because we travel out of state for long periods of time during the summer. Now she is on Medicare and has the AARP Medicare Supplement version of the old Plan F, reputedly the best plan in the country. She was told that Silver Sneakers was part of her new plan, and she started using the online program as soon as she could. She has done it now for a few months. She loves her instructor and the online program, and now Silver Sneakers is no longer available through AARP Supplement and she is being told that it is now available only through the AARP Medicare Advantage Program. What the heck is going on here? Are others being told one thing and given an
Hi…if I wanted to send in an essay written by my 78 year old mom, to be published in your magazine would that be something AARP would be interested in. Thank you🙂.

Good Morning, Will you be updating your 1040 Tax Calculator to reflect the correct deduction(s) including the new BBB 6000 deduction? If so, when? Thanks.
We are in Choctaw, OK... Looking for a water aerobics class for seniors for my husband. Does anyone know if there are any options in our area other than the YMCA? Apparently the high school used to do this... but no more. Also looks like one of the junior colleges might do it but I can't get anyone on the phone to find out. Any info members can find will be appreciated.
I constantly am receiver mailers for such things a automatic membership renewal, and memberships. Since I am already a member and had signed up long ago for automatic renewal, why are my membership dollars going out to pay for these expensive mailers? This is not very efficient and I would love to see that operational costs are being reduced. I would be surprised if I am the only person throughout the country that get this kind of mail. Are you in the process of comparing your membership data with your marketing data? This seems to be about as efficient as DOGE. Sincerely,Phil Westmoreland
The following is from https://bipartisanpolicy.org/explainer/the-2025-tax-bill-additional-6000-deduction-for-seniors-simplified/ On top of those increases to the standard deduction, OBBB adds an additional $6,000 deduction (per individual) for taxpayers 65 or older. This new deduction supplements a preexisting addition to the standard deduction for seniors of $2,000 for single filers and $1,600 per qualifying individual for married filers. This addition to the standard deduction is not available to tax filers who itemize deductions. Has anyone heard any talk of when this new change might show up in the AARP 1040 tax calculator?
I just received a notification from UnitedHealthcare stating that they are pursuing an 18% INCREASE in rates for the Medicare Supplement Plan G for 2026. Since I signed up, they have in consecutive years asked for (and received) increases of 5%, 7%, and 9%. And now they're looking for 18%? And for what, stock buybacks? Since AARP apparently shills for this company, I have been forced to rethink your usefulness as an organization. If I don't see you people ACTIVELY lobbying on our behalf in this matter, I will seriously entertain dropping my membership. In addition, on some of the few social media sites in which I participate, I will actively encourage others to do the same. DO YOUR JOB!
The Hartford provides the auto and umbrella coverage that I need, however, they refuse to offer homeowner's insurance for homes with a flat roof. I am disappointed that AARP offers no other options for it's members. Please find a company that will provide homeowner's insurance that covers flat roofed homes for members that need this coverage. Thank you for your consideration
I have not been able to do anything in AARP rewards. All we get is a message that says "We are currently experiencing technical difficulties in processing your request. Please retry in a few minutes. Thank you for your patience." for several weeks. The resolution we are provided is that someone is "working on it". Planned to buy guftcards for upcoming travel, which seems unlikely at this point.
I switched my membership to all digital on June 2 and I am still getting the magazine and bulletin mailed to me. How long does it take to stop getting those mailed? I did get a confirmation email on June 2 saying I would stop getting mailed publications.
Just give me the discount you offer in the endless, annoying, selfish, greedy, time wasting, USPS spam marketing -- and we're done. You offered $49 / 5 years -- in USPS marketing pieces (spam) -- and if I could access that on line -- here -- it would save AARP a fortune in postage and paper, not to mention pissing me off -- otherwise, it looks like we're done with my ancient membership. It's offensive, very offensive how AARP tries to selfishly un-caringly manipulate everything and does not negotiate or even communicate (why I'm posting here). NO PHONE / NO TEXTING / NO PAPER -- SEND EMAIL -- for me -- and we could finish this up. Thanks, Dru
Any suggestions for east Louisville?
I amnot receiving my magazine/ I am still at the original address, in california
Unbeknownst to me, someone signed me up for AARP. I immediately started getting 20-30 scam calls a day for Medicaid/Medicare. I was able to trace them back to AARP. I am now putting the full effort of my Marketing and Legal teams to make sure the government and media know about this predatory business.
I updated my address a month ago on my account but magazine still going to old address and then forwarded to me
Membership was renewed via charge dated 7/3/2025. The membership number was removed to protect privacy.
Tried several times to hit the link to enter for the "getaway sweepstakes"; however, kept receiving a bad error code? AARP sent me the email referencing entering this sweepstakes. This is the very first time that I actually attempted to enter one. Guess I'll have no such luck on this one?
Using the latest version on iOS as of today (4.1.5, released on the app store 2 weeks ago). I wanted to keep notifications turned on in case there was anything account-related, but toggle off the news notifications. I did that last night and this morning I was inundated with them. Went back in to the app, toggle for news was once again turned on. Did all the basic troubleshooting steps; logged out, quit the app, logged back in, uninstalled and reinstalled. The issue remains. I was chatting with someone here but got disconnected. I would just like to put in a bug report so the developers can look into and fix this.
