Subscription renewals start 6 months before subscription is expired

Why do I keep getting subscription renewals at least 6 months before my subscription has expired?  This is a waste of time and paper and annoying.

Please stop.  My subscription is up in May 2026 and I have already received to

mailings to renew it!!   Why and how can I get AARP to stop and just send a renewal notice when due.

      ...It is also a waste of money. Yes, my money, via my (an your) dues. I just received two cardboard cards with an insert looking for me to send a payment. I AM ON AUTOMATIC RENEWAL!!! I once canceled my membership because of all of the glossy, expensive material coming in the postal mail. I thought AARP was wasting my membership fee. This type of behavior makes AARP appear like a SCAM operation.

        Also a waste of postage money on their part, money WE pay to them, besides the waste of time and paper you mentioned.
