AARP Help

Why is aarp sending email and cards telling me to take the drivers safety class to MAYBE get a discount from my insurer? I took the class about two years ago. Even my State, Illinois, doesn't require a drivers test more than once in four years. The mailed card I got said to ignore it if I had taken the aarp drivers test within 90 days. Is aarp saying that if I took the test 91 days ago, I should consider retaking it to stay 'sharp' and perhaps maintain my insurance discount?I think the driver safety class, at $25.00,  mainly serves as an aarp profit opportunity. Spoiler (Highlight to read)Spoiler (Highlight to read)

Is anyone else not able to link their AARP membership to the Jamba Rewards Program? The website does not allow me to log into the Jamba Rewards due to a CAPTCHA error. I'm new to the AARP program and not sure if member benefits don't get deleted/updated often from the site. If this is not a common issue is there a way of notifying/ reporting the issues to both Jamba or AARP?

Cannot add AARP card to Apple Wallet  I’ve read all the various articles on how to add from App and website, still cannot. Seems to be an issue with AARP. Can someone confirm this is an issue with AARP, and when it will be fixed? 

AARP is a membership association.  Membership fees are the fuel that keeps the association's engine running. As such, this association should be transparent as to the make-up of its engine parts. That said, MODERATORS for the AARP forums should be identified as member fees do pay their salaries. Transparency of this type would assure members that MODERATORS hold no agenda and are truly neutral in all subject matter in which AARP is involved. AARP OWES THIS TO ITS MEMBERS!!!!!

I went through the AARP discount page to try and rent a Car in Seattle WA for two weeks.   The rate with the required fees was $100 more than just renting as a guest at the AVIS site.   So where is the 30% discount.   Both prepaid and not prepaid.     I got the exact same car and necessities (ex. unlimited Mileage) for a third less with Alamo.  AARP Benefit?   First time I tried to use an AARP benefit.  Not encouraging. 

Used our AARP car rental benefit to book a car rental back in Ohio to attend a family funeral. This was a Payless car. Upon leaving the Columbus Airport the first indicator  was that the windshield wipers were so out of adjustment they would collide with one-another on the windshield creating a loud banging noise and not wiping water off. Next, tailgate would not open on the Mazda MX SUV, not permitting access to the rear storage. Finally, upon closer inspection the tires were nearly bald, completely unsafe. Worst care rental experience in my life. Took it back a day early, and the agent herself was shocked at the condition. Called Payless to inquire about my refund for bringing it back early. "Sorry, you paid AARP for this, and they got it through Expedia, you must call them" the Payless agent said. Called AARP travel. "No, he said, you have to get it from Payless". I was looking at the Outback Steakhouse discount benefit. It listed an Outback Steakhouse in Louisville Colorado on Dillion Road. That location has been closed for over a year. The map that is being used is a little outdated. Not very professional.

When logging into my AARP account, I'm asked to add a phone number to verify identity.  But when I enter it, an error appears "Phone number not eligible."  This is a Reno, NV number that I've had for many years.There is also an option in Account Details to add a number.  Options are "Send me the code by SMS text alert" and "Call me and tell me the code".  Guessing that there may be a problem sending an SMS, I try to select the latter, but the web page ignores the click.  I tried with both Chrome and Firefox.  But upon clicking Next, an error message appears, cleverly designed to have no useful information "Mmmmm... Something wasn't right. Please re-enter your phone number."  But there is no field where the number can be entered, and upon clicking Next, the same error reappears.However, I am certain that AARP can send SMS to this number, because I signed up with the same number for text alerts; today at 10:15 PDT I received an SMS from 692277 stating "

 How do you determine which rewards have not been redeemed? I redeem thousands of point daily and have been so doing for YEARS. More than half my points have been deducted in the last couple of months (nearly 3/4) and I have been redeeming on a consistent basis with the exception of the time YOU were NOT allowing redemptions due to some "issues" with your servers. You have really soured my view of AARP in recent the past year. However, I do greatly appreciate the gift card. I would have missed that had I not renewed. I honestly don't think I will renew next year if I live.

How do I get AARP to fight fraud at Fairmont Hot Springs in British Columbia?  Illegally renting out rooms without drinkable water, doors that blow open, non functioning heat, lights, etc. and mineral pools closed?   Total theft!  And over charged me plus adding 14 “fees and taxes” EACH DAY!!!?

Just a little feedback.  And this is just one person's (my) opinion.I recently (1/21) renewed my membership for 5 years.  At the time, the price was $63.I just received a note reminding me to renew my membership.  That's fine, there's some lag time.But the note now has a discounted price of $49 for 5 years.You might think I would be annoyed at missing out on saving $14.  I am not.I am very annoyed at this whole discounting scheme. Either the 5-year membership is worth $63 or it is not.  This type of discounting approach cheapens and de-legitimizes what I think is a wonderful organization.  This is what magazines do to up their renewals.  This should not be what AARP has to resort to.  The same goes for contests (... a chance to win $5000 if you just...).  If AARP have this money, it should be going toward lobbying/activism. I don't want membership fees to go towards a chance to win money in a game.OK then, just one guy's opinion.  Pleas

AARP/Hartford has charged my credit card for hundreds of dollars in transactions for insurance services I never requested or authorized. The insurance is for home and auto, and I rent and do not have a car. I need to track down AARP and Hartford's DIRECT LINE TO THEIR LEGAL COUNSEL so my attorney can file against them. Does anyone know what it is? I phoned Hartford and they say they do not have any record of the transaction.I phoned AARP and they say they cannot help me.I have filed a dispute with my credit card company and when they contacted AARP/Hartford, they said I authorized the transaction even though when we spoke they agreed the transaction was fraudulent.I have re-opened a dispute with my credit card company who is pretty upset with AARP and Hartford for lying to them! DO NOT RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP TO AARP!DO NOT USE HARTFORD FOR ANY SERVIES!

As the secondary member of the account, can I continue to use the account as is until the expiration date?

How do I stop getting so many emails from AARP?  Everytime I click on unsubscribe it seems to have a new type of message I am unsubscribing from - Lifestyle, insurance, financial, on and on.  I had this once before and somehow managed to reduce it but it is back to at least one a day. If someone can't figure out a way to cut this way back, I will simply cancel my membership. Thank you.

Spent day looking though website and with Chatbot and found no partners that AARP has that would give a discount on walk-in showers.   I was disappointed with this.   I have three neighbors who are seniors and are also facing this dilemma.   One would think that nationwide this would be an issue AARP would like to address.  Due to medications, I fall and am in a wheelchair.   I am not low income but, at the same time, $6-10K to install is an issue.  Doctor hesitant to prescribe as doesn't believe Medicare and private insurance will pay.  Any ideas or assistance would be very much appreciated!

 This week, I have tried unsuccessfully to enter the trivia code 100 pts. and the promo code 50 pts. from the emails I received. I have made possibly 4 attempts for each and they are continually deemed "not recognized".Your correction of this error will be greatly appreciated. I have tried on both Edge and Chrome. 

I'm brand new here. Just signed up yesterday.On the "My Account" page, I'm told that to "get more from your membership" I need to "complete membership setup" ... I click to get started and I'm asked a few questions and then click "Next" to get to the next page in the process.I've tried this *several* times, and it will eventually just stop responding. I hit "next" and it sits on a blank page. I've tried different browsers and different devices.I can't get through the wizard. How I finish setting up the membership?  

The games on AARP are great. They target visual processing and visual memory which are very important. But I'd like to work on auditory processing and auditory memory. NOT related to diminished hearing capacity. But related to understanding and remembering what I hear, not see. I've found a couple of games on other websites, but would love to see AARP have some of these types of 'brain games' on their site. Does anyone know of other websites that have these types of games? 

Having to log on every time I access games! This also erases my past saga scores to start all over! Very frustrating! Also way too many ads between games chosen I understand you need some support to run this web site but we do pay to play!

Three games (so far) say no points awarded because I've previously completed the game. No I have not. Once again the Rewards program is not working properly.
