Hello world.
Hello I’m Yvette! I’m new at this. I moved to the Midlands in SC from Miami. It’s hard to meet and make new friends here. I live with my husband and our two feline fur babies. I love to travel and would like to form or be part of an international travel group. I also play the piano or try to at least! I love reading and watching cozy mysteries. I cook and love trying out new recipes. I collect vintage cookbooks from the 70’s and 80’s. I cook mostly from recipes out of the New York Times cooking app. I’d be lost without it. Would love to connect with like minded people!

I have spent years giving up my freedom and peace in exchange for constant aggravation disrespect laziness entitled unruly just all around difficult and out of control troubled grandchild. This kid needs a 2 parent home that will hold her to take responsibility for actions and provide the discipline that she needs. I don't know where to turn. I'm currently an unemployed highly skilled professional with a background in manufacturing supply chain. I recently had a job I loved at a start-up company, and was hoping to work there until I retired, but as start-ups go, they are VERY unpredictable. Their business model changed and I was laid off. I've been working part-time at another startup, but again, this place used up all its Series A funding and are waiting on, supplemental funds so I've been out of work for 2 months. My husband, who IS working was recently diagnosed with early stage Parkinsons. His medication is finally adjusted to where he's pretty much his old self for 90% of the time. However, when he gets home from work, he's completely spent. Which means I literally do EVERYTHING around the house. (Because of traffic, his commute is pretty long) (Positions within some startups are very flexible, so I could work and still manage the house) I'm afraid i
I am a senior and live alone. I am wanting to explore the pen pal program. I think it would be a way to stay social. Because of hand contractures it's difficult for me to write cursive but I can use email, text, messenger no problem. Wondering if there are pen pals who use these systems.I am a retired Disability Law Advocate.
Howdy - I'm new as a member. Love the Book Lists and would like to get my memoir about caregiving and my wife's battle with terminal brain cancer called "Lucy's Biggest To Fry" along with my debut fiction novel called "The Accidental Player" listed. The Accidental Player follows a newly-minted widower in his late fifties as he stumbles into a singles world he never imagined. His behavior puts his relationship with his daughter at risk. It's based on some of my experiences after my wife died.
Hello! Female, 62, single in Southern California. Just want to put myself out there to meet new peeps and make a friend. Thanks for stopping by.
Greetings: Just retired, would like to find a pen pal. I was a caregiver for seniors, would like to enjoy just some good laughter, funny stories and happy thoughts with a new friend. I was especially fond of the older ladies, once they decided they liked me. (No fooling them) I am an honest 67-year-old single Grandmother of 2. I live with my daughter and her family. Just think of myself as an American Lady with a sense of humor. Nancy
Hi, I'm Joe.New guy on the block.HAPPY NATIONAL CHINESE ALMOND COOKIE DAY!!!
Hi, I’m Jason, though most know me as 'Bones'—a nickname I’ve carried since grade school. My journey hasn't been easy; after being adopted and later left to navigate the world on my own at 17, I’ve faced a long road of poverty and a recent eight-year prison sentence.Coming home, I’ve found a world that has changed in many ways, yet some things remain the same—specifically the lack of a real support system or true friends. Even my faith, which has always been my compass, feels like it’s hanging by a thread right now.To keep grounded, I lean into my passions: I'm an artist, a fan of car shows, and an avid mountain biker. I’m looking for genuine connection and someone to talk to as I start this next chapter.
