Games Talk

Hi everybody - I was unable to post anything on the app so I’m trying my decade old laptop (so far, so good). I’ve played some games on the app, including the 2 min and daily crossword puzzles. Everytime I come back to a game throughout the day, the daily score is gone and it shows that I haven’t played the puzzles. Over an hour ago, I RE-played 2 min crosswords Nov 1-5, and played today’s. I just checked online, and my score is there, but it’s again showing I have not played 6 out of 30 games for the month. Same happens with scores for other games on the app, as well - I’ve not tried the other games here yet, tho I could only play family feud online. I don’t understand why we’d need the app if we can’t do everything on it. Anyway, am I the only one with this issue? Thanks for listening!

Has anyone else noticed mistakes in the sudoku puzzle?  I thought it was me.  I have a word brain.  Not a number brain.  Today’s puzzle was definitely wrong.  There was no way to win it.

It would be nice after I “fold”, to keep my cards viewed but translucent (to indicate fold mode). This way I can see what would have happen if I stay in the game.I do have memory issue and can’t always remember the suit and color of the cards.

What is Today’s Hurdle? Today’s Hurdle is a fun, tough twist on Wordle, the popular word-guessing game. If you’ve been caught up in the word-game craze, you’ll love the challenge of Today’s Hurdle!   How does it work? In Today’s Hurdle, you’ll get six tries to guess a five-letter word. Start by guessing any five-letter word. When you submit it, you’ll see some letters receive a yellow background, and some letters receive a green background. If the background is green, you’ve guessed the correct letter in the correct spot. If it’s yellow, that letter exists somewhere else in the word. Try to figure out the correct word before using all six tries!   How is Today’s Hurdle different than Wordle? The basic rules, above, match up with Wordle. But Today’s Hurdle separates itself by offering five puzzles every day.   When you get your first puzzle correct, the final word will pre-populate as the first “guess” of the next puzzle. For instance, if the answer to the first puzzle is

The challenge lies in making all the words fit together correctly.   How do I play? You’ll start with a grid and a few clues. Use the clues to guess valid words for each row. No – you can start with any row or column. However, it’s often helpful to begin with the rows that have the most clues or confirmed letters. These will give you a better chance of solving the rest of the grid.   Can I play more than the daily puzzle? Yes! Crosswordle offers access to an unlimited practice mode.   Is there a time limit? The goal is to solve enough puzzles to get a key that unlocks the front door.   What do I do with items? While exploring – or after solving a puzzle – you might be presented with an item like a knife, screwdriver, or piece of paper with a clue for another puzzle. Click on the item and it will move to your in

A 10x10 puzzle is a great way to test your problem-solving skills. With just 100 squares to work with, you'll need to be creative and use logic to solve the puzzle. You can start by looking for patterns and symmetries, or by breaking the problem down into smaller pieces. Here are some tips for 10x10 offered by user smfg. What would you add to this list? Since this game is not timed, try out a block in several locations before placing it. Clear as many lines as you can in each turn before placing anything else. This will open up spaces, boost your score, and give you options.  Always try to leave open space for a 4-square and a 9-square, just in case.  Give yourself a hug when you top your previous high score!   Found this post helpful? Give it a kudo to let us know—it helps others discover valuable content too.

I am so sick of the ridiculous ads that show while trying to play games. They are distracting and horrible when on the side of your screen; absolutely none of them would ever make me click on the link out of interest. People moving fast, putting down plants, walking around a rug that looks like a hole in the ground, what is that??? Now, in between almost ever game when attempting to start a new one, a woman in the kitchen cooking and dancing around and a man comes to the door with flowers, so she picks up her wet wipe package and starts cleaning under her arms before she goes to greet him.  Give us a break please.  I pay for AARP and don't choose to see this nonsense.  AT LEAST please cut down on them.  They are awful and some of the dumbest and insulting I've ever seen.  You are such a good site AARP, but wow, those ads have got to go.
