FAVORITE MALE SINGERS OF ANY GENRE

You know I never thought about hearing loss for the artists, mostly the audience  : )  but it is a wonder that any of them don't have that problem considering the years and years of loud music exposure. 

Hey, maybe Mick should write a how to book  for those other guys  : )

I'm sure many of the artists do suffer from hearing loss but you just haven't heard about it.  Many singers now use earplugs just for that reason as do many fans.  I'm not one of them.  I know I should but I can't stand having anything in my ear so I guess it'll be closed captioned tv for me in my later years.

Well, we can't leave the guys out can
we?  Who are your favorite male singers of any
genre?  I'm not talking bands here but solo artists.  Of
course, if they were in a band and also went solo you can still name
them such as Jon Bon Jovi or Richie Sambora both of whom are members
of the group Bon Jovi but have also gone solo.  Here's some of
mine from times past to the present:

Frank Sinatra,
Perry Como, Dean Martin, Brook Benton, Jerry Butler, Conway Twitty,
Johnny Cash, Charley Pride, Johnny Tillotson, Donovan,
Eddie Cochran, Gene McDaniels, Glen Yarborough, Neil Young, Bob
Dylan, John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, Eric Clapton, and so many more.

You may also name
your favorite male singer from a band but not the band itself. 
For instance, we all know that Diane loves the band Aerosmith
but she would say Steven Tyler.  

  Wow what a popular topic.I have to include Paul Rodgers.I always thought he had an excellent voice. Going back a ways I always thought Jessie Colin Young had a sweet voice.I hope these are not duplicates.

Count the number of times you couldn't hear after a concert and then the number of minutes/hours it took to get the hearing back and it probably means something : )

Some good choices there.  I don't think any are duplicates except maybe Queen and who cares they're well worth repeating.

I know what it means.  It means that if I keep it up I may lose my hearing.  Once at a Jan & Dean concert I couldn't hear until the following day.  I was also hoarse from singing along.

All great;  reminded me that I have not heard much from Garth Brooks lately  and yes Chris Ledoux of course when you think of him you automatically think of Garth.  His loss was a sad story.  Thanks  for mentioning him.

  Boy I have not heard the name Jessie Colin Young in a very long time.  A New York guy and some great songs including "Darkness Darkness".
