FAVORITE MALE SINGERS OF ANY GENRE

Well, we can't leave the guys out can
we?  Who are your favorite male singers of any
genre?  I'm not talking bands here but solo artists.  Of
course, if they were in a band and also went solo you can still name
them such as Jon Bon Jovi or Richie Sambora both of whom are members
of the group Bon Jovi but have also gone solo.  Here's some of
mine from times past to the present:

Frank Sinatra,
Perry Como, Dean Martin, Brook Benton, Jerry Butler, Conway Twitty,
Johnny Cash, Charley Pride, Johnny Tillotson, Donovan,
Eddie Cochran, Gene McDaniels, Glen Yarborough, Neil Young, Bob
Dylan, John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, Eric Clapton, and so many more.

You may also name
your favorite male singer from a band but not the band itself. 
For instance, we all know that Diane loves the band Aerosmith
but she would say Steven Tyler.

  Boy I have not heard the name Jessie Colin Young in a very long time.  A New York guy and some great songs including "Darkness Darkness".

Somebody just mentioned wanting to see Ringo's All Star Band.  I think it was Adrian in the topic of groups you want to see.  Geez my memory lasts for about 5 seconds sometimes.

Well, I posted a
long message here yesterday and got the oops.  Seems you picked
another one that is not a favorite of mine but that's okay. 
"In the Air Tonight" is about the only song I do like by
this group but they are favorites of my girlfriend Barb and as I've
probably told you she is not a fan of Bon Jovi so I don't mind
your liking them too.  Maybe one day I'll give them more of a
shot but I just never could stand Phil.

I did want to
mention another singer that we may have forgotten here and that's
Canadian singer Bryan Adams.

Thanks for the tip but copy/paste doesn't always work and I spend enough time messing around with this site.  I've been in three times trying to answer all the posts that keep piling up and I'll get one done and then I go to answer another and I get the oops again.  Had to go all the way out and wait and come back.  I'm really getting very fed up with the whole thing.

Getting back to Bryan Adams "Cuts Like A Knife" is great but my favorite is the "Summer of 69" even though 1969 is the year I married my first husband and those memories aren't pleasant I still love the song.
