Gene was also a very nice guy.  Saw him at Summerfest here in Milwaukee and he threw an autographed picture out into the audience and I caught it right up against my face.  I'll never forget it.  Great songs and good memories that's what it's all about.

that I was lucky enough to see him and get an autographed
picture.  You have quite a list there.  Like me
your music spans several different genres.  Your choice of
Johnny Crawford probably surprises me the most since he only
had about five hits that I can recall.  I remember my copy
of "Rumors" and "Cindy's Birthday".  Then I
checked him out and found out that he is currently the leader of
the California-based "Johnny Crawford Orchestra"
which specializes in traditional jazz, early big band and
classical styles which I'm sure you were aware of when you made

compliment...Johnny Crawford is doing great and I love his big
band stuff in California, he's doing quite well and looks
good..I always liked his singing, maybe I'm weird but his
voice rang true much like Wayne Newton's or Ricky Nelson...

genre?  I'm not talking bands here but solo artists.  Of
course, if they were in a band and also went solo you can still name
them such as Jon Bon Jovi or Richie Sambora both of whom are members
of the group Bon Jovi but have also gone solo.  Here's some of

There's nothing weird about you my
friend.  Johnny's voice does ring true to Ricky.  Maybe,
somewhat like Wayne but I think I like the Ricky comparison
more.  My favorite Wayne Newton song "Red Roses For A Blue Lady".

York Rock and Soul Review.  The live recorded CD is
trememendous and includes Phoebe Snow, Michael McDonald, Michael
and David Brigati, Boz Skaggs, Donald Fagen and

Steely Dan is another of my
husband's favorites.  I've never been that big on them but I
did enjoy their performance with "The New York Rock and Soul
Revue" and I like the song "Pretzel Logic" and a few others.
