So if you enter any of the monthly AARP Sweepstakes you may have noticed that they offer fifteen (15) sweepstakes each month to enter. Well I have been going through the winners' list and not all 15 sweepstakes have been listed and this has been ongoing. One has to wonder WHY are they omitted? Has AARP been collecting the points from entrants for the now missing sweepstakes and keeping the points for their own organization? So for February 2025, only 10 out of the 15 sweepstakes have been listed. The following five (5) sweepstakes still have NOT been listed:$100 Hotels. com giftcard sweepstakes (20 winners)$100 Walmart giftcard sweepstakes (20 winners)$100 Air BnB giftcard sweepstakes (20 winners)$300 Hopper.com giftcard sweepstakes (10 winners)$500 Royal Caribbean cruise giftcard sweepstakes (5 winners)that is a combined total of 75 winners from these 5 sweepstakes not accounted for, not listed. No mention of them-
Since 4/3 I have played over 3,000 points playing AARP member games but never get awarded any points for playing. A pop up appears telling me "there is technical trouble, try again later." Of course I never get this notice until I have completed the game. I am wondering if this is a common problem and wondering what, if anything, can be done to correct this.
I won a Home Depot $10 gift card yesterday and I never received the confirmation email! Going through the posts here in the community posts, it looks like this is a common problem. I checked my spam email and it's NOT there either. I had this same issue about a year ago and it took over a month of "escalating" my case by customer service and a dozen efforts to contact AARP customer service before I ever received my gift card! I hope I don't have to go through this again to get my gift card, if so, it's NOT worth the effort! Anyone else having the same PROBLEM?
Today won home depot never received it..Steve tazumi
The major cell phone providers (except T-mobile) give a greater discount if you 4 or 5 lines. As retired, empty nesters, AARP members typically have 1 or 2 lines. It would be very helpful if AARP could negotiate w/ AAT & Verizon to allow us to obtain services at the 4 (or 5) line rate though we only have 1 or 2 lines. Thanks Rich
My husband was the AARP member for several years. He is now deceased. His membership is valid until March 2027. How can I transfer his membership to my name?
Are there plans to create a publication earmarked for males, similar to The Girlfriend?
All the current gift cards are for $5... Why did AARP Rewards do away with the $10 gift cards like they used to offer for redemption?
To: AARP- Sweepstakes: Ok so I see that the Winners' list from the sweeptakes has been updated but I hope you realize that you only have ten (10) out of the fifteen (15) sweepstakes from February 2025 listed so I hope you plan on continuing to update that. And now I see that there have been sweepstakes omitted from other months' sweepstakes winning lists...One has to question your motives with this, are you keeping member points for your own benefit? Things just seem really suspicious lately with your organization especially when I read through the other comments regarding other topics and problems.
Spoiler (Highlight to read)Once again AARP racism shines through with the continuous issues with video links that change the greeting line from "Hi, (NAME)" to "Hola, (NAME)". Hola is Spanish for hello. These videos will NOT give you any points. This was apparently programmed into the video offerings by an AARP programmer as a sick joke.Once again AARP racism shines through with the continuous issues with video links that change the greeting line from "Hi, (NAME)" to "Hola, (NAME)". Good Morning,I have a debit card that I use for certain purchases. The reader will ask me if I want to use it as a debit card or credit card?Is one way safer than the other as far as fraud goes? Thank you,Steve Leccese
Recently, our grown son was in transition to a new duty station and stayed with us for about a month. He had all his family mail forwarded to us, and upon their final move, updated his address again to his new home, in Hawaii (we live in Washington). The USPS change of address system has defaulted to require payment for every address change per individual, so he did a simple "family" update. Oooops, that meant any mail by the same last name ended up forwarded to their new address, including ours. We didn't even realize it until my daughter-in-law alerted me that our mail was showing up at their new home. 2 months later! Thankfully, we are already on online billing, mostly paperless billing, but what was disturbing was that none of our billers ever contacted us to verify we had moved, in fact, many just "automatically" updated our address based upon the USPS notification they received. USPS didn't alert us, our mail lady didn't ask if we had gotten a
Two things here; 1: Not sure if many people here know about Bluesky. It is similar to X (Twitter) but without all the hate, misinformation, "alternate facts", conspiracy theories and the bigotry. I think that AARP should also be a part of it. 2: Does AARP remove posts without informing you? Right after election time I put out a post titled "AARP needs to be stronger when writing about future of Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare and". This is only a partial title as i don't remember what I put after "and". I am getting multiple comments on it. The last one was dated 3/5/25. But when I click on the emailed link it brings me to an ACCESS DENIED. Also I have searched all over the Community General Help section and can't find it. Not sure what happened. I believe I posted it 11/19/2024.Thanks for all.John14
Why are so many innocuous comments flagged with "Content Deactivated" and "Awaiting Review"? And why does the review process often never happen? I've come back to comments that are weeks or months old, and they're still awaiting review. I would insert a screenshot of a "Content Deactivated" example, but the Insert/Edit Image tool doesn't actually provide a way to insert an image. For example, there's no option for browsing my desktop to select the image.
Waiting for the updated Winner's List from the sweepstakes- the winners from February 2025- Its suspicious if AARP hasnt updated that because of the points people give up- You used to be regular with updating this, now its almost two weeks overdue. PLEASE UPDATE and STAY TRANSPARENT!
It is clear that AARP'S Management does not take criticism well. AARP used to be a force that represented those of us 50 and over. It now accepts members of any age and that has diluted the force of their representation. When I express my true feelings on this subject,,,, my comments disappear. Rather than transparency, there is censorship.
I have been getting phone calls everyday from a "Brian" at the "Tax Relief Center" asking to help with my unpaid taxes. 1. I DONT HAVE ANY UNPAID BILLS OR TAXES!!2. WHY is AARP supporting this FRAUDULENT company??.3. The company picks up a name from their (minimal) debt research and without doing any due diligence in researching a debt they just start calling everyone with the same name. (Their research is by eliminating people who complain but still have to put up with their calls).4. These companies should have to prove/document they have the right person before calling (especially should NOT call every day to weeks).5. If the company believes they have a legitimate case .....DO IT BY MAIL NOT PHONE CALLS!!!6. I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST.7. I should NOT HAVE TO JUSTIFY TO THE COMPANY THAT THEY HAVE THE WRONG PERSON.....note. the problem with justifying to the company is that you can end up giving personal information and the is UNACCEPTABLE. AND I DON'T TRUST COMPANIES LI
Please do something about the chronic spammers such as AllenD158612. I and other members keep reporting them, yet those posts remain up, and they post even more. It's even more annoying that your AI allows spam posts, yet innocuous posts from legitimate members are frequently put in "Awaiting Review" limbo for weeks, months or forever or have their "Content Deactivated" for no apparent reason and with no explanation no matter how many times we ask on here or how often we email community@aarp.org.
How do I cancel my membership?
Keep getting error messages that say "cannot redeem points. " I called the help desk person who tried to help without success so she filled out a request to have a techie call me. She read notes in my file from techie who said he called 2x & left messages. NOT! I am home most of every day & nobody called here nor left messages. I have tried to redeem weekly since Jan without success. Takes weeks for someone to return calls, or so they say. What is going on?
Mahjongg Dark Dimensions -- started today showing a "Reshuffling" notice, then after playing for a very short time, it ends the game, even with plenty of time left.
And now today, even after all the other issues like pages that refuse to load, videos that refuse to credit reward points, pages that shift just when you're trying to click on a particular link, popup advertisements that block your ability to do A ANYTHING... And now today I can't even Login because your "verification" bot is malfunctioning. PLEASE FIRE YOUR IT PERSON and start over again! Your site is PATHETIC!
Can the website be made to support local officers ability to interact with officers from National, State and other local chapters? And can the reports that officers need be made available? We need to be able to see and download the bylaw templates, treasurer's report to the national treasurer, etc. There should also be a way to easily send an email to the national officers but finding it on the website is impossible.
Hi! I got an email from <aarpadvocacy@email.aarp.org>Is this really from AARP? It says it's an Advocay Alert, and has links to email Congress. Just checking before I click any links. Thanks!
