Trying to get a auto/home quote. I keep getting this message when i start typing in my address:It’s Not You, It’s Us We’re sorry. Our system just blipped. You can get a new quote at thehartford.com. Or call us at 1-877-732-7782, M-F 7am-8pm, Sat-Sun 8am-6pm, ET. Why do I keep getting this message?
Hi,Can we expect $ 50 tickets for the Met Opera in NYC for the 2025-2026 season?
This morning, when trying to access Rewards I received a message asking for a phone number for 2-factor confirmation and stating that it was voluntary. I declined and was sent to a general Rewards description page. There was no way provided to access Earn or Redeem. Anyone else having this problem?
I understand that AARP does not staff customer support off hours, but I would like to log my issue (ticket?) NOW, and not be forced to call during the work day. The BOTs say that I should be able to send a message to a live agent now via email or the website. But when I asked for an emal address to the BOT it says 'sorry, I don't have an email address, but suggests that I check the website. The website has now info. Aargh. Is there an email address, or URL where there is a webform, so that I can send in my issue for a live agent to review at their convenience?
I just joined AARP and entered my spouse as a secondary member on the application. I get an error message saying "Sorry, the secondary member name must not match the primary member name. Please enter a different name." I've tried calling to get him added, but the call volume is very high and was told to call back later. Is there any way to get online help? Update:I talked with a Live Agent on Chat and she was able to add my husband to my account.
Medicated eye drops -- Xiidra and Miebo -- cost thousands of dollars ($18,000) per year out of pocket since most PDP plans will no longer cover them. 1 plan that will cover them costs $5,500 per year. The AARP prescription discount card Optum RX doesn't help; it's still over $12,000. If you are less than 65 years old, you can get these for $0 - $25 per month but if you are on Medicare, you have to pay thousands! This is not fair to senior citizens. How can we get these expensive eye drops added to the list of negotiated drug prices to get them down to what the people less than 65 years of age pay?
Why are the Carnival Discounted Gift Cards no longer available? They were quite popular, so it makes no sense for Carnival or AARP to end this perk. Thank you for your time.
This is directed to the AARP Community Care Group and involves this Community Board and the guidelines to which we are all accountable when posting on this Community Board. I read most all post that are given here; most are just fine. However, when a person comes here to post a grievance and gives some data point - numbers or how the program works or is being changed - they need to back up this criteria with some link on where they have found the information so that we, the others reading such from them, can check it out for ourselves. This has to be enforced or this board should just be changed to games and songs because at least they are not spreading misinformation. From Your Guideline for this board. In the Shopit Now section, under Travel / Real Estate, under time “4. Amtrak,” you state, “Seniors 65+ travel for 50% off every train, every day.” I thought, wow, and immediately went to the Amtrak website, where I learned that Amtrak provides a 10% discount for seniors with some restrictions. The website link you provide under your claim about 50% discounts indicates that discount only applies to Amtrak Downeaster, which travels from Brunswick, ME to Boston, MA. So this savings does not apply to many of us who live in other states. I have lost interest in taking the time to look at the other ShopitNow listings.
I have attempted to play the Spin to Win $5K Sweepstakes which it states to visit daily for chances to win $5K + gift cards. It also states it ends on 12/15/25. Also in red lettering it shows “See Rules + Enter Now! Each time for the past 5 days after clicking on the “See Rules + Enter Now! (In red), it takes me to the page where `you can “Spin to Win” and I press the “Enter” button (also in red) and it takes me to a page that is completely blank except for the message that reads “Bad Request”. Why have a “Spin to Win $5K Sweepstakes” that you can enter every day when I have yet to enter it once due to the “Bad Request” message. This email should go to your webmaster for the website or the administrator of this sweepstakes so they are aware of it and it can finally be fixed.
Every time I try to enter the spin and win sweepstakes, I get a 'bad request' screen. I've let AARP know but it's still happening. Anyone else having trouble?
For the last 2 days, I have encountered an error when trying to log in to the AARP Travel Center. Is anyone else having an issue?
Just signed up for the digital version of the magazine and bulletin. But how will I know when they are available? Is an email sent? Or is it a text? Or something other? Thanks.
I am trying to read the AARP Magazine in my browser (Chrome) and I would like to page through it using my keyboard but, as far as I can tell, no keyboard shortcuts are provided. I tried it all the obvious ones such as the arrow keys. You might say "Just use the mouse." But the mouse navigation is annoying because the less-than and greater-than symbols (see example photo below) in the lower-right hand corner jump around on some pages which means I have to move my mouse a bit each time before clicking. It is as if I'm playing a video game and the website is intentionally challenging me to retarget for each page. Sigh. I called AARP and the representative couldn't even verify the issue ("Sorry but we're not permitted to view our own website while we help customers"). Sigh. I've never seen an online magazine that didn't support keyboard navigation. Am I missing something?
Hello, I signed up for AARP for the first time in October last year after getting a mailing offering a "grab and go cooler" (the mailer referenced my upcoming birthday) but haven't received the cooler yet or any kind of gift. I signed up online instead of sending in the card, was the gift contingent on using the card? Thanks
I entered the contest yesterday. I used the same link. My internet security stated that it was a malicious site. Proceed with caution. Somethingis strange about that sweepstakes. Probably fake. I will not enter this sweeps again. Use with caution.
Thank you for making this decision easy for me. I will be ending my membership due to your deception when it came to not one but two decreases in Carnival Gift Card benefits. First the Carnival Cruise discount went from 10% to 8% and now it’s only 5%. That was one of the better benefits I actually used and now it’s basically gone. Thanks for nothing.
Has anyone with an AARP Hartford Home Insurance policy had their home totally destroyed and not been able to rebuild? I'd really like to hear from you. We have an AARP Hartford Home insurance policy that has "100% Estimated Replacement" but it does not say if the policy will pay anything if the home is demolished and we cannot rebuild. We are in Hawaii and have the supplemental hurricane policy but if we were not able to rebuild due to supply chain issues which could last years if a hurricane hit Oahu, we would need to move. The Hartford Customer Service agent I talked to today said the policy would pay out but that that is not stated in the policy and that he COULD NOT send me anything in writing. Not happy. Years ago an agent told me they do settle but at Actual Cost Value. This agent today told me "No- we don't do Actual Cash Value" Anyone have experience with turning in a claim when you could NOT rebuild ? Did you get a set
All I get is “Bad Request.” No spin available. What a waste. Typical
After I enter my CC info, I get a "Processing" screen that never goes away. Tried multiple times with Firefox AND Edge browsers.
I recently traveled to Seattle and needed a rental car. I shopped with the AARP discounted rates from both Budget and Avis. The rates, if they were not discounted as claimed, and were higher than rates I could get shopping on my own through other car rental company websites.I saved more money by using Expedia.AARP should review the arrangements with these companies, and revoke their endorsements if the facts and promised discounts don't prove to be what is claimed.K A Bolin
When you follow the links for the free national hearing test included in the recent newsletter, it requests that you complete a survey and then issues a link to the test, but the link does not work. So now I am on a email lists for hearing aids I guess.
I just had a weird experience with my AARP app. First, I was logged on via desktop browser. While still logged on, I opened my AARP app and tried to go through the logon process. It just displayed the rotating circle, never finishing the logon. I eventually logged off my desktop and then tried the AARP app, and it worked. Is this some kind of security feature? Next, in the Android app I clicked on things like "My Account", but all I got was a blank screen: Then, I tried going to "My Games" and got an error message: I'm using Google Fi VPN on my phone. This has never been an issue, before. Granted, it's been quite a few months since I last used my Android app for accessing AARP. But is there a fix for this, other than disconnecting my VPN?
My spouse and I took the safe driver 4 hour class Sept 2025 because I thought we would have a discount on our AARP Hartford auto insurance. The class was helpful, but the “discount” from Hartford auto is non-existent. We paid $40 for 2 of us to take the class and our total auto insurance discount from Hartford was only $38.00 for a year. I’m thinking I wasted a lot of time doing the online signup for the class, trying to figure out how I get our certificats properly entered into to Hartford website, calling Hartford to see if they got our certificates and applied them to our account, and taking the time to write this comment.
Is there a post somewhere on AARP where folks can connect if looking for appropriate age/chemistry room mates? Similar lives and interests. According to Google there is and I can see one but it asks you to signin to post and when i do i get dumped on AARP'S homepage and I can't locate the post. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated! Cheers.
