I had these and I also had “American Plastic Bricks”.  The bricks were pre-Lego, and came in a large cardboard tub.  I remember building houses and stalls for the little plastic Noah’s Ark animal pairs that were a freebie from the gas station too!  This was way back, when everyone was encouraged to “put a tiger in your tank”, and most gas stations had “give-always”.  😀

@LisaS961881 , I remember the freebie tiger tails that Esso (or was it Exxon by that time?) gave out to attach to your gas caps and show you had "a tiger in your tank". 🐅

Scary! 😜  Never have I ever seen these in their product form, not once.

So...What year were these on the shelves?  I think that'd be quite informative.

A thing of the past, and exactly where it should stay! IMO. Sorry!  ;-D

Thanks for sharing, @DaveMcK! : D

Played with these as a kid.  Can you imagine seeing something like this on the shelf today?  You could put someone's eye out! 🫣 Although we managed to stay unscathed. 😁

When you got these, it meant no more blocks of ice and chipping ice with an ice pick.

A hassock, footstool, ottoman, or pouf. My parents used them to prop up their feet, or to place their knitting needles and yarn project, even newspapers. 🙂

P.S. Forgot about the cats... definitely made for cats. lol
