Hearing aid assistance

My name is Brenda Lepage.  I recently have had to utilize hearing aids.  My issue is the cost of the devices.  I do not understand why a person can get assistance for cochlear implants but no help at all on the cost of the hearing aids  I have researched this with no end in site.  I understand if one gets hearing aids and doesn't use them.  But this is not the case for everyone.  My devices cost $5200.  I am on social security and part time work at the age of 77.  I began noticing the loss of sounds and it was then that I went of this website to find a service in my area.  I submitted every coverage and not one will help with this cost.  UHC will help if I purchase the devices of their choosing.  Talk about control.  And now their is no mention of hearing problems that occur even if one has Medicare Advantage plan.  What is a person to do?  When hearing is lost, many issues arise.  But I will not get into that.  But cochlear implant cost would be covered.  Picking and choosing here.
