@AARPSandyY , @AARPTeri You’ve asked us that if we need a post deleted that we’ve made, since we no longer have the ability to delete a post within any timeframe, to report the post to you. When using the three dot, drop down tool to the right of our post, the report feature shows this after choosing that. below… (see screenprint below). As you can see, it’s an ominous message, that implies a negative connotation , when all a user is doing is self-reporting to you that a double post or mistake was posted by them. Could an additional note be added regarding the fact that a post made by mistake is also another reason. Thanks.
I renewed my member in August. The advertisement offered a charging hub. I haven't received my gift nor any communication about it. I received my cards and information.
The tiny font size on these new boards was really bothering me. Until they decide to fix it by default… a simple fix for them btw, but one we may or may not get right now…I wanted to post what worked for me. Click into where you will be typing in the provided blank area… — Click on the box to the left of the B bold button. It will either say “Styles” or “Paragraph”— Chose “Large Heading” — Proceed to type This can also be done after the fact, by highlighting your text to be enlarged, then choosing the large heading option afterwards. Update - I found that the device came fully charged, and it didn't need to be charged up. __________________Has anyone else received the Power Bank as the free membership gift - and did you get it working? Mine does not work. The red light never comes on to indicate that it's charging. The instructions are no help. Wondering if any of you out there have gotten this to work successfully? I have tried Googling, calling AARP, and chatting with them. No one has any information on this particular item. Thanks for any tips you can offer!
Please cancel my renewal membership next year
[Wednesday 9/9/26 7:23pm ET]AARP Sandy @sandy , AARP Teri @AARPTeri , AARP Darryl @DarrylL35959 , @AARPCK - I just "received" an AARP Private Message (PM) from a newbie asking if I like their music. I "checked" their PROFILE and I am NOT seeing any posts or threads for them.➡️[*** With your OLD SITE, the AARP Moderator had showed me how to BLOCK members I really DONOT want any messages from.I am NOT seeing this "option" with NEW SITE. 😞➡️[*** Also, how do we REPORT these "messages"?Thanks,Nicole 🤗💛
The Hartford Insurance co is the WORST Insurance company in the US. I've dealt with several insurance companies for over 40 year and have never had one try to extort money from me and increase my policy without notice or my permission. And then have the never to tell me I owed them money after prepaying $924.50 on the day I signed the insurance application. Within 2 weeks they increased my policy and deleted my Quarterly payment arrangement and setup an increased monthly payment with increased monthly service fees. From 2 weeks of having their "insurance" I have been on the phone trying to get a clear and reasonable explanation from their agents and not one person could tell me why this was happening. Just empty promises about the issue would be corrected. Then another week or 2 it was the same issues and more. after 6-7 weeks of noting but incompetent people and dealings with a shyster company they sent me a notice saying they were going to cancel my policy for non payment of $12.75.
[Thursday 9/10/26 8:19pm ET]Is there a way to "release" posts & threads that are OKAY per your "guidelines"?With the OLD SITE you guys were able to do this when your SPAM DETECTION SOFTWARE "tagged" something as SPAM in error.Do we send AARP Darryl an AARP Private Message (PMs) like we did with OLD SITE "asking" him nicely to "release" our material?I am heading NOW to send him one as I just posted TWICE (same material) & NEITHER has shown up.Thanks,Nicole 💛🤗
I’ve tried for months to do some of the 1,050 point activities with no luck. I open the page and there’s no link to start or do the activity. It just says progress 0/10 or something like that but no link anywhere to start doing it. I’ve tried on different devices and no luck. I haven’t done any of these activities already so that isn’t what is preventing it. What is going on?
When reading an article sent from AARP I only get part of the article. For instance the article that was sent about 4 medications that can make you tired. I got to the end of number one and then can not go to #2 3 & 4 as they are not shown. This seems to happen with other articles also. How can I see the rest of the articles?
Might be happening here. When new boards start, some use it.. Would be nice if they told us. 😎
[Friday 9/4/26]Apologies if I am "missing" this in ALL the info you guys have posted. With the OLD SITE, I "deleted" the AARP Private Messages (PMs) as soon as I read the ones I received & sent. With NEW SITE, I "figured" out to "supposedly" delete the ones I sent, but a record of them still exists in my mailbox.Lol, does this mean we will NEVER run out of SPACE in our mailboxes?I know with my Email Provider IF I run out of "space", I CANNOT send or receive emails.Same with my Cell Phone Provider for texts. Also, we use to be able to see when our PMs were read? Did we lose this with NEW SITE?Thank you SO MUCH for your help with this!!!I am probably "missing" something here at age 68 this month. Old & hating these "changes" but understand it was time to UPGRADE the AARP Community Board.Take care,Nicole 🤗💛
It has been a month since the problem was escalated and still no resolution. Is this incompetence or disinterest?
I Just want to get an AARP PHYSICAL membership card MAILED (NOT Emailed) to my address. Not interested in E-Cards. Not interested in the App. Will never load the AARP App on my phone. This has proven to be daunting! I live in the physical world and I just want to receive my physical membership card by surface mail to my address. Not planning to review my membership due to this!S.A.
I want to take free class with minscape 3 hours are there any restrictions for free course explain what to do
After searching this community, I see that Budget Car Rental has several complaints. Let me just recount ours. After booking and paying for a week's rental through the AARP emailed travel offer, I received an email confirmation of a hybrid Prius model sedan to be picked up from a nearby airport terminal. Thought all was in order. My call to the office 3 hours prior to pickup revealed that Budget did not have a Prius anywhere in the area. Their replacement was a Chrysler Pacifica gas model -- not what anyone would call a "comparable car." Furthermore, each subsequent emailed confirmation was markedly higher in price than the original agreement. I cancelled the order and took my own car, which is exactly what I had wanted to avoid. My contention is that this is a classic bait-and-switch tactic, but Budget claims it isn't (?). They offered me three days of coupons, but how is this being held accountable? They blatantly did not honor a written contract. I'm also upset
Many of you already know how finding threads work now. For those that are new, here is the way to find threads that you are interested in finding. Either for a short time or long term efforts. On your community profile (click on your avatar), you will find your posts. The method below is a way to find posts you may just want to read or keep up with.Couldn’t find this elsewhere, sorry if it is duplicated. When viewing a thread, under the subject post of the thread there is a place to Like, Follow and Share. If you want to find that thread to either post again or just keep up with --- Click Follow. This will have the post(s) you Follow show in the Activity Button at the top of the screen. As will any private messages you receive. If you no longer want these notices for any topic, just click --- Unfollow. Hope this helps. Hope I put in everything I wanted. There is no way to Preview (that I can find) my entire post. There is also @SereneSeagull ‘s post on text size work around. https
How can someone, opt out from AARP magazines and insurance companies filling up my PO box?
What are the definitions of the various levels of commenters on the forums? What do you have to do to advance your level?
I am writing to bring to your attention a growing consumer protection issue that requires legislative action: the unfair and inconsistent application of credit card surcharges by medical offices. Medical practices are increasingly adding credit card surcharges to patient copays and medical bills without proper disclosure or consistent application. This practice creates an unfair financial burden on patients seeking essential healthcare services. During a recent visit to a local dermatology office, my husband and I both saw the same doctor on the same day with identical $15 copays. I was charged an additional 45-cent credit card surcharge, while my husband was not. This inconsistent application demonstrates the arbitrary nature of these fees and suggests inadequate oversight. Medical care is not optional - patients shouldn't face surprise fees for necessary healthcare Sick patients cannot negotiate payment terms or easily shop around Many patients discover these charges only after trea
Hello, I signed up for AARP for the first time in October last year after getting a mailing offering a "grab and go cooler" (the mailer referenced my upcoming birthday) but haven't received the cooler yet or any kind of gift. I signed up online instead of sending in the card, was the gift contingent on using the card? Thanks
still no reply from aarp with the "escalation" of my inquiry as to why I can redeem points as a new member but cannot redeem. Might be time to quit.
I have received several membership renewal letters stating that my membership has not been paid for 2022-2023 year And is expiring. However it was paid online back in September 2022. I received my new membership card today. So what gives and I don’t want to see the excuse that it’s an automated process. I am requesting of SVP Stephanie Miles that automated billing notices Be in line with reality. This is ridiculous. I don’t care if the letter states “PS please disregard this notice if you recently renewed your membership”. I’m sure I’m not the only member that gets these things which starts off earlier in the year by multiple renewal letter request months before renewal date and the associated membership cards. This is a waste of AARP’s resources and natural resources.
