What did you do to find this out?  Did you follow the instructions to get the discount?  I just tried it and got to a page on Walmart.com offering to sign me up for Walmart+ for $58.

Mine says it looks like you’ve already used this code but you can still sign up for $98

    Hi @jconsoli1

Yes! AARP members can save $40 each year on a Walmart+ annual membership.

To get the discount, make sure you start through the AARP Walmart+ benefit page https://www.aarp.org/membership/benefits/shopping/walmartplus/ log into your AARP account, and follow the steps to sign up with Walmart.

Already have Walmart+? You can still get the discount—no need to cancel. Just enroll through AARP, and your membership will automatically switch to the discounted rate at your next billing cycle after your AARP membership is confirmed.

If you don’t see the discount at renewal, you can contact our Member Services team at help.aarp.org for assistance. -AARP Darryl
