        I think you might mean Patti and Michael McDonald "On My Own".

         

        Michael McDonald was from the Doobie Bros. Good duet, but not that surprising. I don't think Chris Kristofferson did a duet with Patti Labelle. I don't think Patti L did a duet with Chris Kringle, either. Other than that, I'm out of ideas.

        Sonny and Cher.......I love Cher, she can really sing fantastic and everything she wears looks great on her.  But he can't sing.......

        I always found the pairing of Bing Crosby and Sting (I believe) doing duet of Little Drummer Boy to be surreal!

        It was David Bowie, not Sting. Many here, including me, have mentioned this odd pairing.
