😴  Wishing everyone "rest" TONIGHT!!! Even a "nap" helps us to stay alert & positive. Lol, when I am up ALL NIGHT & have to be somewhere the next morning = it is like I am moving in "slow motion" big time. 😅

Michelle @MichelleC103656 , we are looking forward to your REpost of your pictures. 🤞

Cecilia @CeciliaM384861 , hope you got some Grandma Time in TODAY. 🤞

Luv,

Nicole 🤗🤗🤗 (Grief Forum)

GROUP DISCUSSION!!!

👣  Tell us about YOUR steps. 1 step is all that is needed to feel better & move forward with living in spite of OUR GRIEF. 👍

MY RESPONSE - Today for the 1st time since losing Verl, I "planned" a LATER THAN USUAL weekly trip to Kroger for groceries. Lol, before TODAY, my 3 alarms were set for 6am every Monday. Why? To get in & out before the store and road got BUSY. TODAY I ENJOYED the "busy" & was NOT "ranting" at having to let people cross the road off the sidewalks. My Kroger is in a mall. Yes, I am slowly returning to life OUTSIDE my Studio Apt. 👍

A kudo is the QUICK WAY & much appreciated by everyone here. 👍 Comments take LONGER & we do understand sometimes members are BUSY or just DONOT have anything to say. Thank you SO MUCH for "supporting" the AARP Grief & Loss Forum when you can. We are MEMBERS HELPING MEMBERS. 😉

Keep stepping.

Get back up when you fall (get sad).

And KNOW your luv ones are ALWAYS with you. Honor them by continuing to "live" in spite of YOUR GRIEF.

You got this my friend = you will look back on your journey & SEE that you survived. NEVER GIVE UP on life or yourself. SOON you will be sleeping, laughing and so on. 👍

😴  Dark here for me, getting ready to enjoy PBS Masterpiece at 8pm ET. 🙃

Cecilia @CeciliaM384861 , I did "respond" to the info you posted about your phone. I guess the AARP Spam Alert (software) is holding on to it. If it does NOT post, hopefully this one will.

COPY OF MISSING POST.

Michelle @MichelleC103656 , sounds like it would be best to REpost your pictures using YOUR PHONE. Geez, I hate this new setup. Our phones worked for Cecilia & myself. 💛🤗

Michelle @MichelleC103656 & Cecilia @CeciliaM384861 , I just bumped up an article by AARP Expert Amy @agoyer . She has some "suggestions" on surviving the coming holidays. Here is the LINK below.

Elizabeth Kubler-Ross poignantly captures the essence of grief with her words. The overwhelming grief we feel after losing a loved one leaves our hearts feeling badly broken, signifying the enduring nature of love after loss. Instead, it becomes a part of us, reshaping our hearts and lives.

This quote reminds us that the deep grief we carry is a reflection of the profound love we held for the departed, a grief of deep contrition. It is a lifelong journey of learning to live with the absence, integrating the grief into our daily existence.

GROUP DISCUSSION!!!

On those days/nights when "depression" comes knocking at YOUR DOOR, what do you do? Grieving has those times & NEVER "feel" ashamed. It is all part of OUR JOURNEY to "creating" a life without someone we cared about.

➡️[*** MY RESPONSE - on days like today (raining), I take naps, walk indoors (lol, yes-I get in some steps while listening to music), watch movies, eat TOO MUCH 🙄 & know that SOON this will pass. Maybe the SAME day/night or the NEXT. Sometimes "talking with OTHERS or reading something UPLIFTING" helps. I keep "trying" different things until I feel better. 😉
