Very poor experience dealing with AARP Travel. Sharing this experience so others won’t fall into the same trap !!!!!I made a rental car reservation thru MEX Car Rental in the AARP website. The vendor clearly stated “Free Unlimited Mileage” in their ad in the AARP website. I made the reservation and received the email confirmation stating “Free Unlimited Mileage”. When I went to pick up the car, the agent informed me that there was a daily 50 miles allowance. I showed her my confirmation with the free unlimited mileage printed in it and she responded with “I know it’s somewhat misleading but somewhere in the fine print under the terms and conditions section, it mentions the miles allowance”. So I did not pick up the car since I was going to exceed the mileage allowance. She agreed to cancel the reservation and put notes on the record for me to request a full refund thru the AARP Travel. I called them and they refused to give me the credit!
AARP is supposed to be a Nonprofit and claims to not support/promote any companies; yet they do based on the commercials and advertising. I find it egregious that they support United healthcare and promote signing up with this horrible DIS-advantage company!!! UHC denied medication which could have healed me in less than 2 weeks numerous times. The last time I tried to appeal the decision some insensitive young girls were laughing in the background saying my appeal would never get approved. This was January 2024. By August sepsis started to settle in and I had to be hospitalized. After weekly surgeries including 4-1/2 weeks on a wound vac until December 16 I was sent to an UN-skilled nursing facility until April 22, 2025!!! I am home by choice because of the lack of care, but I am still bedridden indefinitely. So the denial of medication cost of $286 turned into hospital/medical bills almost totaling over $200,000!!! My plan covered payment for inpatient care from first day of adm
I have spent hours on the phone with Optum Rx trying to get my Mom's Alzheimer's medication from Optum Home Delivery using the AARP Prescription Discount Card. I was expecting to find others reporting the issue here, but didn't find anything. The medication, Galantamine ER, is cost prohibitive using her health insurance, so we got the discount card and used it without a problem to fill 30-day supplies at Safeway Pharmacy. When we determined she could tolerate the med at the higher dosage, the price had gone way up in January for a 30-day supply at a local pharmacy. Since Optum Rx provides home delivery for the AARP Prescription Discount Card program, I asked the PCP to send a new Rx for a 90-day supply to Optum Rx. Optum automatically put the prescription through her AARP Medicare Advantage health plan from United Healthcare, and the order was not filled because her insurance required prior approval. I made multiple calls to the AARP Prescription Discount Card program in February and M

I recently received the truck organizer and the first time I used it both handles broke. Can I get a replacement or something different?

When I joined AARP, I elected NO mail and yet, I am getting flooded with such. AARP needs to inform their IT department to fix the issue by not adding our addresses to their junk mailing list as requested. Members are tired of being flooded by junk mailings. I canceled my membership years ago due to this and was PROMISED that AARP would not send any more junk mail if I rejoined, and obviously AARP lied which resulted in my requesting a refund. Customer Service Stephanie was rude and I caught her in a few lies about the mailings, stating they would continue for another 12 weeks. If AARP is hiring people that deceives members, I have a bad opinion of an organization that is not in our best interests.
Please cancel my membership account
When viewing videos for points, there are many that are broken. Most of the Job Seeking and Ageism ones do not give points. There are several of the Caregiver ones that also do not give points. There are a few that do not even go to a video. These are all a waste of time.
How do I read member only articles without having to sign-in every time? My problem is when I try to read a member’s only article in an email from my phone. It’s so frustrating to have to sign-in each day. Can’t my email be recognized without having to login, change my password, or login without a password? My husband is equally frustrated (because you do have great articles that we just want to be able to click on to read). We both have the AARP app, and we have signed up for an extended AARP membership. Please help! Thanks-Lisa
Will make you pull your hair out. For the longest I have come in here with out having to sign it, post stuff and replied to post, THEN, for no reason know to man..............sign in, enter the moving letters. WHAT moving letters, nowhere to be found. Then for no reason known to man....................everything goes back to the way it was. None of my finical accounts have 2 layers of sign in, get rid of the stupid moving letters.

I just renewed my membership and a this popped up after I paid:-------------------------------------------------------------Automatic Renewal Terms & ConditionsAs long as you remain enrolled and unless you contact AARP to cancel before 06/07/2026, AARP will charge your Credit Card ending in 0749 $20 for your next 12 months of membership. Your membership will continue to renew for successive one-year terms until canceled, and the amount of the charge for future renewal terms may increase or decrease. AARP will retain your payment information provided for future billing purposes. A reminder notice will be sent to your email address on file with AARP.------------------------------------------------------------- I never agreed to this auto renewal or gave permission to store my credit card!!So, I follow the instructions cancel auto-renewal here: https://help.aarp.org/s/article/how-do-i-cancel-automatic-renewalIt says to login to my account and go to Account Details tab a
I am sorry but do the moderators not understand that to have a creative comment AND a comment that abides by the guidelines sometimes takes an inordinate amount of time on the writer's part? I don't think they do. I have had several threads deleted. Threads where I was careful in my choice of words and subject matter. These threads were deleted, not because of violations on my part, but violations of other writers. Why the hell waste my time being careful in what I say and how I word my comments if my comments are to be deleted because of other's actions. Can the violator's comments not be deleted while leaving my comments intact?

On 05/01 I redeemed 17,000 points for a $10 Shari's Berries gift card and have not received it. Unable to open a chat box to report it
In Jan I was notified that I had won a Walgreens gift card sweepstakes for $500.00. Printed and used twice with a remaining balance of $352.99. Received an email from AarpHelloworld that they were notified by Walgreens that my card had been compromised. Told to contact Walgreens to get a new card. What a joke they told me card had zero balance. Someone somehow got a hold of the gift card number and used it. I'm not out anything but it is just so frustrating that you have to go through all these steps for nothing.
How can we stop AARP from sending multiple Emails per day everyday It waste or time deleting them, we can only block 1000 with our email system. Is AARP that hard up for members?Maybe they should be more conservative?I'm not a member and never what to be with an organization That harasses everyone.Emails from VIP Membership AARP <TMXltYQKt7J8rtDzIia8XzDKu03iE@iy4YAnuBURW2m5Orm2@de.com, No Unsubscribe button. I have send messages though the website for over 6 months and the e-mails still come. Will some one please help us
Does anyone else get this message when you try to comment on a story from The Daily newsletter? I have no idea why this is happening. It started about 3 weeks ago. Now I cannot leave any comments at all.
I left a post about this and then I reached out via chat back on April 17th- got the transcript - as I explained to the agent I havent been able to redeem points, enter sweepstakes or play the I/W's since the beginning of April 2025!!! I pointed this out to the family member who added me as a secondary, he even left a post about it. Well I told him he's crazy to ever renew this paid membership because clearly not getting money's worth. NOw with only 4 days left in the month to enter giveaways or play the IW's I still can't because I keep getting the same error message - ARE YOU GOING TO HELP OR NOT??
I was disappointed to see AARP has stopped their discount eye exam program. Was this to move members into paid insurance programs?
I just left my United flight from Lisbon, Portugal to Newark, Nj.I was upgraded to Business class with use of points. The service and food was great, except for the handicap assistance. Having just spent a month in Europe which I had to use 4 flights- there is a distinct difference at the handicap service of the stewards and stewardesses. Extremely disappointed in United!! It is the attitude. Southwest is extremely friendly and helpful. This is every time I used them. As I board United to Houston Texas , I hear the steward say we are here to help😱. First time ever heard that in 20!yesrs.
Joined bc aarp and hilton having a partnership to go to silver status when booking through aarp with a link and additional two stays in 6 months to maintain silver. No one at aarp knew... at least three. I sent screenshot to them from their site, but could not locate it. Literally, the only reason. I would do some research on why you are joining before you actually join.
In recent months I have not been able to locate pdf versions of the magazine and bulletins. Your publications are the main reason i remain a AARP member. Reading the online versions the way you present them now is unacceptable.
