aarp home insurance and calif

aarp should quit advertizing for home insurance. when you contact hartford, they tell you its not available in calif

      That would be annoying.  I followed the Hartford link from AARP and at the bottom of their front page was this footnote among others…small print and at the bottom.

      Actually, California is mentioned by name in the disclosure on the AARP benefits detail page -

      State Availability

      The Hartford does not write new Home business in all areas, including the states of CA and FL. Not available in U.S. territories: Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.
