What would you ask before trusting a home robot?

I am interested in home robots, but I would want to see how one handles an ordinary room before considering it as help for someone living alone. A demonstration with a clear floor does not answer what happens around a loose rug or a pet.

Humanoza has a guide to humanoid robots for home. My main question when reading about these machines is how much work still requires a person supervising them. I would also ask who can stop the robot and whether it works when the internet connection fails.

Which task would be useful enough for you to consider one? I would start with carrying small items between rooms, rather than anything involving medication or lifting a person.
