HP Printer Not Printing Anything

Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my HP printer where it suddenly stopped printing. It shows as connected, and there are no error messages, but when I send a print job, nothing happens. I’ve tried restarting both the printer and my computer, but the problem is still there.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows what might be causing it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Do you have a home network? Are both devices on it? If yes, try a reboot of your router. Make sure your computer and printer are both on when you reboot your router.

If your HP printer was connected to the HP Instant Ink program and your latest payment had an issue, there have been instances where HP would disable your printer.

Maybe you should contact HP?  🤔

If the printer looks connected but nothing happens, I would check the queue before reinstalling anything.

    What usually fixes this:
    - Look at the printer screen for paper, door, ink, or tray messages.
    - Open the print queue and cancel any old stuck job.
    - Print one short test page instead of the original document.
    - Make sure the HP is set as the default printer and that you are not sending the job to an older copy of the same printer.
    - If the printer is on Wi-Fi, make sure the computer and printer are on the same home network.
    - If it still stays silent, remove the printer and add it again fresh.

The most common cause is that the printer is technically connected, but the job is stuck in the queue or the computer is sending it to the wrong saved printer.
