The Songs About Getting Older

""Hope I die before I get old," sang 21-year-old Roger Daltrey in 1965—and 43 years later, he's still singing it. Rock 'n' roll has always been invested in a Byronic cult of blazing youth and beautiful corpses. But as tyros have turned into reunion-tour warhorses, rockers have had to come to terms with the ironies—and the indignities and the glories—of old age."

What are the songs that talk about getting older, looking back, etc?

so, not about song, but about band...

Blink182 played O2 in London this week; then next morning @markhoppus (bassist) walked the streets complimenting peeps wearing the show t-shirt.

One said "like you would know"; one said they'd attended the concert... no one fell to the ground or whipped out their cell phone for selfies...

First, if you are paying to go to a concert, don't you know the band members?????

Second, is this a pov non-North America, or what?

ummm   yes  it would seem that if you are going to a concert you might know the band members but..  I was walking with my sister some years ago in downtown Cleveland and saw the drummer of Aerosmith walking with his wife.  I stopped to tell him how long I had been a fan and that I was surprised that he could walk around without a crowd forming and he said that nobody recognizes the drummer..  he was surprised that I did.  I found that hard to believe but there you go.

It's not always so easy looking back and seeing how long the road behind you is.
