USCGC Eagle (WIX-327), known as “America’s Tall Ship,” was built in Hamburg, Germany in 1936 as the training vessel Horst Wessel. Awarded to the United States as a war reparation after World War II, she was commissioned into the U.S. Coast Guard in 1946 and has since trained generations of cadets at sea. Today, the 295-foot barque remains the only active square-rigger in U.S. government service and serves as a symbol of seamanship, tradition, and international goodwill.

Not many peeps hanging out on the front porch, but I get it -- too hot. 🥵

However, it is not too hot for Trudy the turtle to show up for a daily snack or two.  Yep, good ol' Trudy is back!  Still hanging in there after 3... maybe 4... years now. 🐢

--- Trudy enjoys her breakfast. Nothing like a shrimp cocktail (for kitties).

--- Trudy enjoys shreds as much as the furkids do.

Terence is new guy to the porch. 🐢

Yep, just met Terence this year.  Today was his second visit and he was a hungry turtle.  He stuck around for seconds. 🤗

~~~~Newbie Terence checking out the fare.
~~~~Terence loves the all-time favorite - shreds in gravy.

@MsStretch ...How cute! I've always loved turtles.

I know it's been a while since I posted, but when I saw this one come in my email, I had to check it out. 🐢 😺

Do you want one of these in your back yard?

The U.S. has over 4,000 operational data centers, accounting for roughly 45% of all facilities worldwide. With over 1,500 additional facilities under development, the U.S. remains the world's largest data center market by a significant margin. [1, 2, 3]

Key Regional Hubs & Top States

While every U.S. state hosts at least one facility, infrastructure is heavily concentrated in specific regions due to power availability and network connectivity:

They are already in my backyard -- about 500 of them in northern VA.  In fact, Virginia has the most data centers of any state -- 601.  But wait, 5 more are currently under construction or have been approved in my county.  Two of them will practically be in my front yard.
