MORNING ROLL CALL L JUNE 2026

@catwoman500 , I stood there at the end of the game thinking, "Did I really just see that?"  Quite frankly, I don't think I can take many more of these last-seconds games.  I honestly did not think a game against the Eagles would be one of those.

@LaDolceVita , glad to hear you're getting back on track.  Sounds like you're starting the new year off right! 👍I usually do a first-day hike, and there's a new state park that just opened that I may check out.

Yep, hope @Frozenoem  is hanging in there.

@Therapist4u , they say good humor makes all things tolerable, but so sorry about all your travails.  Here's hoping and wishing you have a cozy and comfortable merry Christmas. 🎅 Ho ho ho.

Happy after Christmas folks!  @LucindaN305201 ,  welcome here.   @Therapist4u   glad to see a longer post from you even though you are full of troubles.  

Covid 19 is still leaving its ugly trail.  My aunt passed away at the nursing home, age 85.  She probably had several more months she could have lived except for this awful thing foisted on all of humanity.   Most of the people in th nursing home have immunity and they were not sick at all.  The nurses all had a light bout of the disease. My aunt had Copd and her lungs could not stand up to a second bout of Covid.   I sat with her for many hours during the week she had the disease.  One morning I woke up with a strange dry cough and  a bit of congestion.  Cough went away the same day and the congestion lasted for 1 day.  

First of all, I want to wish everyone a happy 2025.  I hope this year brings better news and times to everyone.

Snow. ❄️ Snow. ❄️ Snow. ❄️  Everywhere! 🌨️

Went out to check on and feed and dig out the kids. Left them both in their heated huts under shelter last night.  Giorgio greeted me at front door.  Willie Mae is MIA. 😟 Tried to follow paw tracks, but mostly snowed in or blown over.  Will have to suit up and go on another hunting expedition shortly.

Had a slew of doc appointments this week (nothing critical, follow-ups mostly) and a couple have already called to cancel and reschedule.

@catwoman500 , at least the Commanders won't have to meet the Eagles in the first round.  Got the Buccaneers on Sunday night.  And you got the Packers.  Play ball! 🏈

Another year on the books, I bet this one goes by even faster than the last one. I hope for a good New Year for everyone!

@SummerOnTheWay1 , yes, Willie Mae eventually made her appearance and is doing fine after several search expeditions.  Saw her peeking out from under a shed, and she finally came out after I dug out a semi-trail for her.😏 Thanks for asking. 

She has developed an annoying habit though.  In the evening, she will not eat on my deck instead running off expecting me to follow her (and of course, I do) and then, heads to a garage door where she eats.  I suspect it is due to the orange stranger cat that sometimes shows up to help himself to any vittles.  Giorgio will not hesitate to stop him and run him off and protect his mom, but Willie Mae does not like confrontation.

So has Mister moved inside full-time yet? Baby, it's cold outside! 😁😸

Hi folks, I had a nasty case of the flu lasting almost 3 weeks.  @SummerOnTheWay1   While I was sick I finished watching Seaside Hotel & have returned to watching Hotel Portofino.  I thought about you and wondered if you had returned and now here you are!! 😁 😎

Almostfinishe with doctor appointments for a while.  A visited a functional medicine nurse practitioner .  More on that when I get my results.  Also loving the Wellness Center, AKA Old People's Gym.

First of all, I have to give a shout-out to @catwoman500. 🎉🏆 Happy for you.  There was no stopping the Eagles on Sunday.  What a game.  I bet they're still dancing in Philly. 🕺💃

@LaDolceVita , glad you're feeling better.  That flu is a nasty thing. 🤒 @SummerOnTheWay1 is right, lot ot it going around VA.  I did get the flu shot last fall and knocking on wood, it does its thing.

Had to hit the doc this morning for treatment and it had starting snowing when I left there.  (The office was closing as soon as all the patients had left and guess who was the last one? 😏)  Road had been pretreated and it was still above freezing so had an uneventful ride home.  And surprise!  I didn't see a whole lotta yahoos on the road!  Little snow, mostly rain tomorrow and temps above freezing, so hopefully, this snow storm is just a little speed bump in the road.

@SummerOnTheWay1 , furkids are snuggled in their warm kitty huts/beds.  I am not looking forward to going out to feed them later this evening.  Willie Mae will probably get the zoomies and want to go take care of personal business and I will have to go clear a spot for her. 🙄 (Yeah, yeah, I know.  Don't ask.) 

@SummerOnTheWay1   Good for you on bone density test and the prediabetes!  They tested me for Covid, Rsv and flu, positive for fluA.  As for the Frozen Guy, I am worried too. Did he not mention moving?   That would take up some time.  Hopefully he will update us soon.  @catwoman500  hopefully you will not get the bugs going around.  @DaveMcK    Hope you are well.
