   Instead of enduring more distressing National and International news, I decided to search for some hopeful, optimistic news….

    I found a story that brought a smile to my face.

    Here it is:

Maybe just a drop, but there is already a ripple…… 

And if anyone reading this thinks, “But this is just one guy, and there are millions more out there just like him! “, don’t forget the Starfish story.

~~   Early one chilly morning, a man was walking along a beach when he noticed a young girl picking up starfish and throwing them back into the ocean. He paused and watched as she methodically bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and gently tossed it back into the waves.  When he asked her why she was doing this, she replied, “The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.”  The man was puzzled and said, “But there are miles and miles of beach and thousands and thousands of starfish. You can’t possibly make a difference!  What you are doing is hopeless.  It doesn’t really matter.”
The girl remained silent.  
Then she bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the ocean while softly explaining,

”It mattered to that one.”  ~~
