Other social networks allow you to put your email in to trigger notification to know if someone replies to your post. Can aarp please address this? As it stands, this is extremely inactive forum with posts by a sole user. If folks know there are replies, perhaps users would be more active?

Sorry, aside from not dealing with the host aarp here, i do not understand the reply. Are you connected with aarp? I'm grieving as well. The only reason I saw your post (and I thank you) is that i'm still trying to figure out the site. I assume Nicole is not part of aarp from the reply? And, again, I thank you, Nicole. What do you mean by OTHERS VENTING! ?

Nicole @NicoleW439658 , Dentists are one of the scariest providers to change for me. I hope your appointment is confirmed and goes smoothly on Wednesday!

UPDATE: We are not getting the wind. It is raining and there is a flood alert until 8:45 p.m. My son put sandbags around the patio door. Then out of the blue, we had a 5.9 EARTHQUAKE!! Are you kidding me?? What next? I should not complain after what the people in Maui has suffered through.

Oh my gosh Cadee @Cadee2719 ! I have been watching and reading about the hurricane and tropical storm things on the west coast and thinking of you. Then I saw the earthquake news and became concerned. It is so good to hear from you and I hope things will start taking a more positive weather trajectory.

Good Morning Nicole. They have downgraded the hurricane to a tropical storm with heavy winds and rain. We have secured everything (hopefully) that could blow away. Soooo glad my son is here to help me. Never experienced a hurricane! The biggest fear is the flooding for as everyone knows, California's topography does not handle even an inch of rain well. I pray everyone will be safe here. My grandson lives 8 miles from the ocean. Thank You and others for checking in with me. Luv ya!

Nicole, I chose to have my husband in Hospice Care at home and to take care of him. It was the hardest thing I have every done. They provide all the equipment and typically a nurse comes two times a week to bathe him and to change the bed linens and to check and see what supplies we needed. BUT there is so much more that needs to be done around the clock. You can hire people to come in and help, but you need to pay for a minimum of four hours which is quite expensive. Toward the end it gets harder and harder and the demands are 24/7. You need more people to relieve you (something I did not have) and you become a WALKING ZOMBIE. They will only take the patient to the hospital if it is a very serious occurrence and you need to take them in an ambulance and bring them home in an ambulance. I felt that my husband and I were together 61 years and that at the end of his life, I would not leave him. I did it for 8 months and I WOULD NEVER EVER WANT TO DO IT AGAIN. BUT I would still do the same for my husband; and could have never placed him in a hospice facility to be cared for. I hope this helps.

Good morning. I just saw something about Dolly Parton teaming up with Paul McCartney and others to record a cover of "Let It Be" for her upcoming new album. To all of the broken hearted seeking words of wisdom, answers etc. search Youtube for Dolly Parton Let It Be cover (feat. Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr) and check it out.

I finally got an appt.for EMG (nerve testing) but it's not until Oct. so it's 2 months of discomfort of the hands/fingers/wrist/forearm. I have a pain script to be taken at night but during the day is's a topical pain creme and acetemenephen..Needless to say doing anything such as knitting or holding a book to read is out. I try to do what I can but pay for it later on . I am going to call center to see if there are any cancellations that may move me up to be tested earlier...Otherwise I'm okay and trying to stay positive and not honing in on the pain...Hoping everyone is okay with their problems also...
