How Are You Doing?

  1. How are all you doing? It's so encouraging to see your efforts. I think acknowledging and expressing grief is progress in itself. One foot in front of the other, works. Backsliding is fine. Wherever you are in the grief journey is okay. Take care!

I'm venturing out to hubby's shed to retrieve garden tools and take stock of what is in there  so down the line decisions of what to keep and what to dispose of will be addressed....It's been a week of unforseen expenditures like the water tank has to be replaced and finding out that maintenance on it should have been done to prevent replacement after 8 years and of course the warranty expired..Because of hubby's health problems this was over looked and now it's pay back time..But all will work itself out one way or another..I had to call a handyman for other things that need to get done before the snow flies in order of importance..i finished a throw for our yougest adult daughter in time for hier BD so I have been busy ..Doctors appt. was upsetting as my health needs have to be addressed ...Being a care giver we tend to put our own health needs on the shelf..But with attention and care hopefully all will right itself..This hot humid weather has been awful and I'm thankful for lower temps and dry air it lifts my spirits and gives one a good nights sleep too..Hoping all is well with others on this site..

Jonibee so nice to hear from you! I well know how the upkeep and repairs can be stressful. I know its a lot to take on the jobs we didn't normally take on. It has a tendency to make one miss the one who took care of those things. So there's the grief again. How lovely of you to make a throw for your daughter. And I'm glad you're taking care of yourself. I admire how you keep going with a good attitude. I know it's not easy. Doing everything yourself. Thank you for stopping by and take care!

Thank you for your words of encouragement .It gives me the strength to face each day knowing that others take the time to comment and give their support. .I try to be positive most of the time but it is harder on some days than others and try to get past those down times the best way I can.....

Somedays  feel totally along..,,yet we live in a beautiful world...and I know GOD is still with me..So many things to appreciate....I am trying hard to get there....I do have very short spells when I feel almost normal....reading some very good grief books    (David Kessler) and on line with him..seems to be helping....hope everyone is doing as good as we can....GOD bless....

I have been diagnosed with Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy, and I am slowly dying. I recently renewed my membership, so I still want to have it until my death. But the advertising just keeps reminding me of my fate. I also was diagnosed with Covid for the first time (just my luck), so I’m not in good shape. Please have AARP stop my advertisements, but keep my membership, if you please. My name is Jonathan L Tauber,

. I live from day to day, and I am grateful for every day. So I want to continue my membership, because I recently paid for five years. But the advertisements do me no good, so please discontinue the mail advertisements. Please keep the membership however, go as long as I am alive. I will have my caregiver notify you of my death. Thank you for this big favor.

@jontau Hey Jonathan, I can help with this. I was able to process your request and stop the advertisement mailings from our service providers. Please allow up to 12 weeks for the mailings to fully stop due to pre-printed mailing labels. Your membership remains active and valid thru 8/31/2027. I admire your strength in handling what you are going through. Please know that we are thinking about you and I am always here to help if you need anything further.

Thank you Nicole. I also think of all you guys on the forum. I've been grateful for the opportunity to stop in and express and focus on grief. It's most helpful that this forum focuses on grief. It pinpoints why we stop in here instead of stuffing our feelings and emotions for the day. I still find the site challenging  lol trying to follow the continuity of the threads. So I follow and post best I can. If a discouraged person stops in they're sure to hear hope and courage for the day. Good things can happen even during the stormy times of life. Take care! And thank you for all your care and work on the forum!
