The Smell of Baked Apples in the Oven!

With the temps dipping, I got the urge to bake some apples in the oven.  The smell of brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and apples is wafting in the air right now!

    Autumn marked the advent of months of family gatherings when I was a child.  To this day, many scents transport me back to those days at my Grandmother’s home and immerse me in gentle memories….

    ….pumpkin pie, raisin gravy, Manhattans, Evening In Paris perfume, Brylcreem, chestnut stuffing, cloves, L’Origan perfume, leaves burning in a pile, pecan pie, Old Spice, cranberries simmering…..

The smell of the different food that is being cooked. With the changing of the weather, day light saving being changed, it's time to put up the grill and heat up the stove and crock pot.
