James Craig , launched as Clan Macleod, was built by Bartram, Haswell & Co. in Sunderland, England in 1874. Her name was changed to James Craig in 1905. For 26 years she plied the trade routes of the world carrying general cargoes during which period she rounded Cape Horn 23 times.

Near Grand Canyon Railway if you stay at El Tovar - Inside the Park in Grand Canyon, you'll be in a national park, just steps from Grand Canyon National Park Superintendent's Residence and 3 minutes by foot from Grand Canyon Railway. This historic hotel is 0.5 mi (0.8 km) from Bright Angel Lodge. As part of our tour we were able to go inside the hotel and see how the rich live.

It serves as a museum detailing Wisconsin's early lead mining history. Self-guided tours offer insights into the history of Mineral Point and the restoration of 

Arts and Culture:In the mid20th century, Mineral Point attracted artists, establishing an artist's colony and fostering a vibrant arts scene. Today, it is home to numerous galleries and studios.so Mineral Point Historic District:

 Much of the city is a historical district listed on the National Register of Historic Places, featuring a variety of architectural styles, including Cornish stone cottages.

  In the 1820s, shallow lead deposits were discovered in the hills of Mineral Point, leading to a rush of settlers, including many Cornish miners.
