ARE THEY RUDE, IMPOLITE, OR DISCOURTEOUS?

If you sent a message requesting a response from someone that you know received your message and, yet, they did not respond on purpose, would you consider that rude, impolite, and discourteous if they were:

 

(1) A Friend

(2) A Politician

(3) Manager Of A Retail Entity

(4) A Low Level Administrative Person In A Membership Organization Like A Church Or Union

(5) A Co-Worker

 

Would their status to you affect how you felt about the purposeful ignoring of your concerns?

    My selection from the above list is #4.

     

    My reasoning is the following:

     

    If you are a member of an organization that you have voluntarily joined, you are not there to serve the organization necessarily, you are there to have the organization serve you in some manner or purpose.

     

    A church or it's Minister will provide you guidance or a union will represent you in negotiations with the company. So for a Minister or a Union representative, to get your message and ignore you is rude, impolite, and discourteous.

     

    After all, it is your fees, dues, or whatever that supports the organization these "administrators" work for so they should address your concerns about their organization in a timely manner.
