    There was a time when Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma had one of these in the sewing basket next to her chair.  Whether it was while listening to the radio, enjoying the logs burning in the fireplace, or watching Ed Sullivan, she always had mending or hemming to do.

Not only on Sunday but in a lot of the smaller towns they closed on Wed. at noon.

Sunday's were mainly spent going to church and with family. Now Wed. was for fun, golf, fishing. tennis, water skiing, etc. This made Thursday be "hang over" day😄😄
