What Are Your Favorite Instrumental Tunes?

The subject of instrumentals came up in another thread, so I thought it might be fun to see what instrumental tunes everyone enjoys. Instrumentals cover a wide range of genres when you start to think about it; classical (of course), movie soundtracks, pop, jazz, big band oldies, blues, country, rock, and many instrumental versions of your favorite song titles, too.

So what instrumental music do you like? What are your favorite tunes or instrumental versions of your favorite songs? Multiple tunes and multiple genres are okay. And, if you have favorite on youtube, feel free to post the link so that we can listen, too!

Birdland by Weather Report.   It Rocks out.   The Manhattan Transfer added a lyric to every note in the weather report original and had a hit with it, but the original is instrumental.

Another is Misty by the great jazz pianist Erroll Garner.   The beautiful lyrics were added in later, with Gardner's approval.

    HI  @jm2422

Leo Kottke’s fingerpicking 🎸 has influences from several genres....such as blues, jazz, rock & folk....also....

He described his singing 🎤 as sounding like "geese farts on a muggy day"😄😂

    LOL!

Seen him live 5 times. Plus I'm a 12 String player myself.

Stood five feet away from him at a show at the old

Golden Bear in Huntington Beach, CA in 1981.

    Fabulous, unique stylist.
