WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO?

Kryptonite, 3 Doors Down

RIP Brad Arnold in that crowded

rocker heaven 🎶😢

I’m not gonna miss you, Glen Campbell

Recorded about his battle with Altzheimers.

My Mom loved him and also passed with the

disease. Have your tissues handy if you listen

😢💔

Saw this band for the first time this summer at Red Rocks, when they opened for James Taylor.  Really liked them a lot.

This a beautiful song, with fantastic harmony.

    Mudroom — Tiny Habits

Kentucky homemade Christmas, Kenny Rogers

I’d rather go blind, Etta James

The most painful, scathing song about

love that was lost. She nails it….

Happy birthday Dad in heaven, Endless Soul

Raising a glass in memory of my Dad, who would

of been 95 today. Missing you 🥲🍷

After watching Motown Christmas, I'm definitely in a Motown mood!!

Phlash Phelps on SiriusXM 60s Gold

My brother was able to find the guitar chords and lyrics to the song 'Dancing in the Moonlight' so we added it to the list of songs we sing at our family's annual 'hootenanny'. I found three versions: the original (?) by Boffalongo, the popular King Harvest version, and my favorite by Toploader. Can't stop singing it to myself lately!

Found some amazing music onboard a flight back to the States from New Zealand. It was a compilation of Asian flavored new age and soft jazz from Pacific Moon Records, "Healing Collection", featuring piano, flute, guzheng, koto, and erhu music. It has helped a great deal of late, especially while recovering from triple bypass surgery. This is one of my many favorites of that genre. It features Missa Johnouchi playing a 25 string koto. Ms Johouchi is a UNESCO Artist for Peace trained in Japan and Paris. This piece evokes the flutter of butterflies:

Another favorite is Seaside from Naoyuki Onda with an upbeat jazzy flavor:

Really, anything by Johouchi and Onda is great but there are many more artists you may like in this genre like Jia Ping Fang and Jiang Xiao-Qing. Like Mizuyo Komiya's relaxing Spring Rain (25-string koto only):
