This one has been rattling around a bit @Vexed.

This is a bit of a tangent, but may be worth some thought. Time In A Bottle seems more contemplative than sad...kinda like a thought of, 'Gee...Windows 2000, NT, XP and 7 were so good that ME and Vista can be overlooked, but everything since 8 has been such a hard expedition into self-indulgence that a migration to Linux may be called-for. It does what Windows does just as well, just as fast, but wasting less memory and disk (space and performance) on projecting a glamorous outward appearance.

@EricC28201 . I think sadness can be different for many people and at different times in ones life. Sometimes it is the words that evoke a memory of a time. Sometimes it is the tune that makes you feel something in your soul or it evokes a memory of a time. (They may be good or bad times) Sometimes we can even cry for happy things because they have a particular meaning/effect.

To me, the music touches something deep inside. Also, the words remind me that there is little time we have in this world and we may not get to enjoy the loved ones we have to the fullest extent. That makes me want to cry.
