IMAGES THAT REPRESENT SONGS

O Christmas tree, Kenny G&many others

A Holly Jolly Christmas          Burl Ives

Whenever I hear this song, I usually imagine this guy doing that odd little footless side-to-side shuffle through the snow!

                   Eleanor Rigby             The Beatles

Silver Bells.       Bing Crosby and lots of other Crooners

….every time that I hear this song, I am instantly transported back to magical childhood visits to the city during Christmas time - the lighted tree that reached the sky, the window displays, and the Salvation Army band….

Playing Dumb - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers

I thought of Monty Python's John Cleese in his Village Idiot Sketch

The Sound of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel

                 Christmas Angel, Bobby Vinton

Kind of a Drag - The Buckinghams

I thought of TV's  Columbo , when his dog didn't want to leave the grooming shop.

Did find the clip.

                   Let’s Turkey Trot, Little Eva

I Hope You Dance          Lee Ann Womack

…..the lyrics are so fitting during this week of giving thanks.  In the midst of the pandemic, when the world became a much smaller place and seemed pretty bleak, my friend and I vowed to greet every day with a gratitude list.  …..and we’ve never stopped doing so!
