FAVORITE MALE SINGERS OF ANY GENRE

Well, we can't leave the guys out can
we?  Who are your favorite male singers of any
genre?  I'm not talking bands here but solo artists.  Of
course, if they were in a band and also went solo you can still name
them such as Jon Bon Jovi or Richie Sambora both of whom are members
of the group Bon Jovi but have also gone solo.  Here's some of
mine from times past to the present:

Frank Sinatra,
Perry Como, Dean Martin, Brook Benton, Jerry Butler, Conway Twitty,
Johnny Cash, Charley Pride, Johnny Tillotson, Donovan,
Eddie Cochran, Gene McDaniels, Glen Yarborough, Neil Young, Bob
Dylan, John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, Eric Clapton, and so many more.

You may also name
your favorite male singer from a band but not the band itself.
For instance, we all know that Diane loves the band Aerosmith
but she would say Steven Tyler.

You are probably right.  I have a few CD's and some great photos of him that I took.  Haven't listened to him for awhile so I might have to drag them out again.  I could use some "Time, Love and Tenderness".

Oh, yeah!  That's one of my favorites.  I love the use of the gospel choir as backup.  Great.  And, true!  Nothing like time, love and tenderness..

Sorry!  I don't think we realized we were quite so far gone!!  LOL!

You know, that man raised his teenagers himself and stopped some of his touring to be with them as they went through high school.  What a guy!

That was torture alright.  I remember seeing that bed at the Rock 'n Roll Museum.  We were there during the John Lennon exhibit.

    Ya, the bed.  OK  well.......

but I gotta give it to them for never being afraid or backing down from their commitment to what they believed in.

Do you remember the interview, I think with Dick Cavett where he actually addresses the fact that the press had called Yoko ugly... and you could just see how he couldn't believe how rude the press could be.

Have you stopped playing that Michael Bolton CD yet?

Another good one is the CD "The One Thing".  I love the song, "Said I Love You .... But I Lied", "Ain't Got Nothing If You Ain't Got Love" (how true) and "Soul of My Soul".

Time to change your CD now. LOL
