Eric Carmen (lead singer of the Raspberries) died this past weekend. He was 74.

Billy Joels 100th show at Madison Square Gardens

airs on April 14th at 9pm on CBS. A must for any fan

of his music. Here's some trivia about his shows there:

1. This is his first concert to air on network television.

2. He has sold out Madison Square Garden more than

any other artist.

3. His first show was in 1978. Every single

show of his was sold out.

I, for one, can't wait to see it!!

Clarence "Frogman" Henry died 4/7/2024.  RIP Frog Dude.

Elton John and Bernie Taupin were awarded the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The tribute was broadcast on PBS. If you missed the show, It is streaming on PBS.org or the PBS app. 

Performers include Annie Lennox, Garth Brooks, Brandi Carlile, Joni Mitchell, Jakob Lusk, Charlie Puth, Maren Morris, Metallica, and host Billy Porter.

Elton’s band backed several artists, and Sir Elton performed three songs at the end of the show: Mona Lisas And Mad-hatters (once said it was his favorite), Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting, and Your Song.

Metallica’s Funeral For A Friend / Love Lies Bleeding was awesome, and probably the surprise of the evening.
