The official first day of summer is here, and it's time to kick the season into high gear with AARP's Summer Music Playlist of 20 songs that have summertime and long, lazy days at their heart.

What songs would you add to the playlist?

Expect The Unexpected

Paul Molinaraio

"we've reached our destination
we've reached our plateau
we've met out expectations
now where do we go

there's only one thing I can tell you now...
expect the unexpected

don't close your eyes
and don't you listen, to all those lies
and you won't be, won't be surprised
don't be surprised

this really is exciting
we don't know what we'll find
a new world is waiting
leave the old one behind

there's only one thing I can tell you now...
expect the unexpected

don't close your eyes
and don't you listen, to all those lies
and you won't be, won't be surprised
don't be surprised

this could be our last journey
but that's the chance that we take
it's too late to turn back now
the music must be faced

there's only one thing I can tell you now...
expect the unexpected"

Sunshine Gold (Mayfields)

"The changing of the seasons,
Have brought the winter breezes,
But now it's almost to see the sunshine.
We're planning our vacations,
And watch how well we'll take them,
Cause' we're all ready now to have some fun."
