AFA: renewal ISSUES...just take a look at a screenshot of how my page view is littered with renewal crap....on the side of your topic about renewal, & up on top...a ‘permanent’ reminder...

 ....yet mines not due until October,....prob not going to bother to waste any more money on membership!!

Hi vd9066, AARP sends renewal notices to accounts that expire within 6 months and up to 3 months after expiration. Our hope is that our members are able to renew before experiencing any interruption in their membership, including receipt of AARP The Magazine or their AARP Bulletin. Plus, some members have their life insurance, car insurance and more linked to their AARP membership, and it could be detrimental for it to lapse. I'm in the same boat, my membership doesn't expire until April 2028 

Yet I'm getting AARP mail it's about to expire. Renew now save 25%. 

Well if the membership was an outrageous amount of money I could understand saving the whole 25%. 

I cannot predict the future, so why would I want to pay for something well in advance not knowing if I will still be alive. Too many uncertainties. Especially with today's drivers, growing up with tailgaters while driving. Exchange a couple words maybe a middle finger you're on your way. Now people try to run you off the road or blatantly run into you and drive away. No thank you AARP I will wait until 2028 to do my renewal.

Plus considering after all the hurricanes and world events and our insurance for your vehicle especially if you have a newer one. Regardless if you have 0 points on your driver's license. You are literally being charged like you drive a Rolls-Royce. Recklessly. 

I do not, nor do I have any tickets 30 plus years, yet AARP the Hartford was the only company that would work with me sort of for a monthly cost for car insurance that was feasible. Granite you have to pay for AARP. Which gives you that discounted fee. But if you incorporated into your monthly without AARP. I guess I'm saving 10% off market value car insurances. But as Hartford has blatantly explained if AARP membership is expired your car insurance will go up $75 more each month. Which is unfeasible if you already pay a car payment. 

My previous car insurance. That I've had for decades. From paying barely a hundred bucks full coverage. To nearly $300 a month. That is absolutely ludicrous. Unfortunately I was hit with a nasty APR finance for the vehicle. Otherwise I would have to get a second job oh wait I don't work. To afford nearly $1,300 a month car payment and car insurance. That's what people normally pay for a one-bedroom one-bath studio apartment.
