As the secondary member of the account, can I continue to use the account as is until the expiration date?

I believe you can.  The secondary person gets all the benefits as the primary anyway,  and it can be placed in your name as well.  Just give them a call and they’ll switch over the account to you, when you get the chance.  So sorry for your loss.

On behalf of AARP, I'd like to extend our condolences on the news of your loss, @BonnieS129883. What we can do is update your AARP Membership account, and transfer the membership into your name only. Please send us a private message, or visit this link - https://aarp.info/34pgQzq - so we can help with updating the account. - Christy C.
