What do you pay for Medicare Part D

I answered your same question in another thread.  What you have is a Medicare Part D prescription Drug ENHANCED plan - it differs from the standard or basic plan because it has extra benefits - which I hope to you cause you are paying for them.

An enhanced plan may have things like NO deductible, a wider formulary, perhaps more access to some name-brand drugs instead of just generic or biosimilar versions.

2025 plans are going thru some radical changes and EVERYBODY needs to review their Part D plan options very carefully and pick the one that is best for their needs.  These 2025 plans are limiting out of pocket cost to $2000, insulin will be at $ 35 per month limit, like now, some drugs will change tiers and may be more expensive  but others will be less expensive because the government is having the manufacturer and plan pick up more of the cost during the different phases of Part D - The phases of Part D are also changing.  And there is gonna be an installment option available to those who have very high medical cost ( I head at no interest but I haven’t seen any new plan designs yet.

You will probably be getting a an Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) to your current part D plan - look over it in detail - not just the premiums.  Then in a few weeks all Part D insurers will be introducing their 2025 plans and then you will be able to pick and choose by what’s available in your area, a 2025 plan that meets your needs - 

Open enrollment goes from October 15 - December 7 for plans that will be effective January 01, 2025.  So Review and Shop carefully for the plan that best meets your needs and for your wife too - you both don’t have the same plan because each may be very different in their medication needs - so you both need to shop plans for yourself - there shouldn’t be an “OUR” plan unless the same plan is the one that is best for each of you.

My wife and I have Wellcare Value Script for which we currently pay $6/year. Last year, it was $6/month. I'm not sure how they make their money, but not much of it is coming from us.
